Since the late 70’s I’ve been working on cars rebuilding engines etc. however even if I had all of the equipment shown in this video, I could never achieve what has been achieved here in this extraordinary build. It’s totally on another level. Hats off.

Most of my career I spent as a machinist, so it was really fun to watch this video. I especially enjoyed the modified digital calipers bolted to the lathe. Excellent idea. The car wasn’t bad either. Lol

Geezus Christ.... the amount of R&D and engineering that went into this Smart For2 is breathtaking....it probably would've been faster to just build a complete new tube chassis and just use the shell and partial original frame channeled and fused to it 😅 Fantastic work... I dunno other than having all the flat parts cnc plasma cut wich you could source to a shop. ( hell there are 3 shops in my small town that do that for people) and some lathe work also can be farmed out . Alot of this is basic hand tool work you could do with cheap tools

@@tylercampbell3134 agree... All you need is knowledge to ask what you need and provide enough info to the shops. In any case the merit here relies on doing it all on his own. (Buying lathe, learning how to use it, buying plasma cnc, learning how to use it, buying welder, .... Etc) The whole process is beautiful here.

Ive found The biggest hurdle to people making things is attitude and drive. Ive seen many many people make amazing things with little to no tooling or knowledge. Hell look at people like Michel cthullu, hes an artist with cheap angle grinders and a drillpress.

If you dont own the machinery, you can get parts made by a shop that does own the equipment, but its going to cost money.

this is truly what some people put on their title as a "build" but some people think that slapping bunch of aftermarket parts to your car you can call it a build hahah go home. this guy is truly a genius a master he actually bends and forms metal to make parts he needs in order to fully assemble his car this is what the word "build" is man bravo and i hope you channel grows 100× more so you can build more awesome and badass toys.

With exception of the car body and the motor, this guy literally built himself a drifting go kart out of a Smart Car. I don’t know where he works but he could make killing making custom shifters and linkages for drift racers. Excellent Work Bro!!!!
