My friend built a water powered generator using Car/truck alternators on a river in Belize 40 yrs. ago. It powered his farm house. So good to see professionals taking it ten times farther.

This is not just promising, this is the real thing actually build and implemented in remote places. With good and sound design that also allows short times to market. Solid and simple design by the way! Well done, credit to the initiator and the team 👌👍

Excelente produto, um projeto bem pensado, cujo objetivo é atender cidades remotas onde a energia pública não abastece. Como Amazonas, entre outras locais neste Brasil imenso.

I notice the cone shaped bars on one side, so I thought it was to stop debris and fish getting caught in the turbine. But when I saw it working in the river it seemed the open end of the Turbine was pointing towards the current!.
@chickentube22296 жыл бұрын
all it would take is a thin metal guaze to protect the blades, this should be necessary for swimmers and fish, as well as damage to the turbine from debris.

how many KW this turbine gaves for flow m^3/sec and middle velocity 3 m/sec ?
@dalsenov Жыл бұрын
He said that the turbine generates around 8500 KWh per year. Dividing by 365 days and 24 hours you get the turbines power at about 1 KW.

Between solar panels and water turbines all the energy needs of humanity can be meet. There just needs to be more of them made, installed and have power distribution systems set up.
@rodneycarpluk80526 жыл бұрын
Oil and coal need Riggs to be made, mines to be dug and they are transported across countries, to countries different continents and across the world to get to power plants. Mobile water sources can be relatively close to the cities and solar panels can be placed in array s much closer to a city than oil or coal on a different country.
