@@horaciocastillo1435 hey! So my above comment is wrong and I will need to edit. After further extensive research- I just bought the 4000 model. However the 4000 model DOES NOT replace the 3900. The 4000 mode does have a better steam feature compared to the 3900. BUT the more true replacement of the 3900 is now the 4200. Idk why they did this jump in numbers. The 4200 is the Cadillac. The soap dispenser works automatically and you only need to refill it once for up to 18 loads (same for the water softener). The 4200 is also .5 cubic feet larger than the 3900 and 4000. The stainless steel drum in both the 3900, and 4000 have been modified for the 4200 so that the fins are also stainless steel instead of being a durable plastic. The 4200 seems to be about 1/4 inch taller than the 3900 and 4000 series. The 4200 also has these pretty cool rubberized handles for the soap dispenser and the door to open the washer door. The 4000 model drops the wash setting for “sportswear” from the 3900, but had improved artificial intelligence when starting the washer. This is pretty cool because you can just star the washer on a normal cycle and the washer will weigh/spin your clothes to detect the type of fabric and wash appropriately. The 4200 keeps the sportswear cycle. All that being said, my wife and I chose to go with the 4000 model. It does WAYY more than we need, ranked top in consumer reports and it’s much more cost effective. We picked up our set for $800 each this past month. The 4200 is on sale rn for $1100 a piece. That’s $2200 for a set... on sale and they have the same Drive motor as the 4000. PLUS on the 4000 you can still use the download feature through NFC on your phone. This will still allow you to run the sportswear function. The 3900 mode is discontinued. Hope this helps!!! Just respond if you have any questions or want to touch base as I’m happy to help.

hi there, what is depth of your laundry closet? Is there enough room for the vent hose? Mine seems about 37 inch depth from door to wall, little concerned it wont fit properly, to be able also close the door. Thank you

Depth of my closet it 46". The depth of the machine from back wall to furthest protruding piece was 39" I have the units pushed pretty far back to the point that there is not much more room behind them. I don't know if you could make 37" fit with the dryer venting unless you had some kind of low profile mount.

The 3500: bestbuy.7tiv.net/WBDqJ does not have steam or the sanitize cycle. Both the 3700: homedepot.sjv.io/62beQ and the 3900 : bestbuy.7tiv.net/nD1LV have steam and the sanitize cycle. Nice review. The one thing I haven't been seeing much is a comment about how the washer holds up, smell-wise. I have a Samsung washer (for over 8 years) and while the washer/dryer still works, I cannot take the odor. I leave the door and detergent draw open all the time (which I hate), have used Tide or Affresh washer cleaner or the build-in feature, have wiped down the gasket and drum but it's still there. Was in Home Depot yesterday and my eye was drawn to the very pricey, GE® 4.8 cu. ft. Capacity Smart Front Load ENERGY STAR® Steam Washer with SmartDispense™ UltraFresh Vent System with OdorBlock™ and Sanitize + Allergen. Sure, the vent system may just be a marketing feature but I haven't seen that around. Too bad though because it's 28" wide and I literally can't spare that extra inch.

Although, you most likely have purchased your appliances, I thought it was important to share my experience-- I would advise against Electrolux… we have the dryer model EFMC627UTT {& matching washer -the washer is NOT quiet by the way} NIGHTMARE. From the very first dryer load, garments were getting snagged on the faulty lint trap.. pulling garment fibres apart etc. skip to 4 months later, presently, the lint trap got pulled out of its compartment, tumbling around in drum, causing articles of clothing to sit/block lint compartment, as well as a sock got wound around/underneath another component. I was alarmed by a burning smell AND the sound😳.. had I not been home, there’s no doubt in my mind that would have started a fire. I call the customer service #, they send you to website, then when I did find an alternate number, the CSR put me on hold to see what she could do.. ya, well she never came bk😡, call dropped 12 min later. Tried again, call dropped. Sent emails, Facebook, Instagram No response. I can’t even get a service ticket. I did some online research.. well,well,well.. SO MANY ppl have the same issue and some even caught fire. EFMC627UTT, I believe is being discontinued & They ‘ve changed the design of the lint trap.. but NO thanks. Lawsuits, complaints, NBC NEWS Reported bk in 2016 of a similar issue. The dryer is a safety and health hazard. THANK goodness LOWES Canada came to my rescue. They went an extra mile for me, and for that I’m grateful!

No, there is a y fitting that should come as part of the kit with the washer and dryer that splits the incomming water line into two hoses for connecting to both the washer and dryer. If its not with you kit just get a y adapter for your existing line.

I have an LG 3700 - and the pump and main board broke down in less than a year. (This also happened on my last LG washer...but at least it lasted 10 years.) The repairman said this is a common problem with the LG washers. Worse yet, the LG parts are not available until mid January 2021! I too thought LG was a good brand, but now I'm not so sure. I have to buy another new one right now, because we obviously can't wait 2 months. Is there any other brand you could recommend? Or is there an LG model that would be more reliable? Thanks!
@OneHourSmartHome4 жыл бұрын
That's too bad your washer and dryer broke. I was in the same situation with my old washer and dryer. No parts were available for months so I had to purchase new. In my research LG and Samsung were consistently the highest rated and most reliable. One of my buddies who was a former engineer for a well known appliance manufacturer consistently echoed this and recommend getting LG or Samsung appliances.
