When I was a kid...60 years ago, my dad made shelves and screwed the lids of jars to the bottom of each shelf for screws and nails. Just had to unscrew the jar and he had his stuff. To move them all was simple. Just took down the shelve and put it up somewhere else. The jars stayed right where he had them screwed onto the lids.

Doug, im happy for your new storage building . You have a lot of wonderful, useful tools. A word of advice from a 75 yo senior. Get yourself some good locks for the doors, and make sure you have a good, fast easy to use fire extinguisers at the doorways. Ones easy to grab and use as the door is opened and you see fire. I know of someone who just lost many thousands of dollars in a fire in his building. You are blessed to have so many tools, just be safe. Love your videos, am a sub and watch you all the time.

I thought my husband was a tool hoarder until I saw your collection. Lol always great to have them on hand. Sadly my husband lost his collection in a fire 2 years ago. Our 4 car garage / workshop was filled to the brim and it all went up in flames from a faulty panel box. Because we live in the country it was all engulfed before our fire dept could get here. Thankfully we are OK and our home survived.

Looks fantastic! I understand how easy it is to “grow” clutter and this has shown me a great way to finally get my basement tool but especially all the nails, screws and other odds and ends put away! Doug, all my units like your large dresser I have attached glued and screwed industrial rollers to the bottom. That now makes movement a dream, full or empty. I can’t count the times I have moved my larger dresser from room to room at full capacity. What a lifesaver adding these rollers has been.

I appreciate seeing how Eevee and Doug are setting-up their newest tool area. I admire such organization and the systems they are implementing. Without tools they would be forced to rent or purchase tools for each project as needed. That would be very limitng and decrease progress. Their channel(s) support their family. In their situation tools are as important as their cameras and computers. I am definitely happy for Eevee and Doug. They are carefully investing in their family's future while continuing to accomplish outstanding results!

I have mixed feelings about getting rid of perceived redundant tools. We were renovating a huge farmhouse when my husband passed away. A few years later I bought a house I could afford; a fixer upper. The previous owners had pretty much gotten to the “destructo” stage, but divorced before getting to the “recovery” stage. Everything I do here I think of all the tools that had been available just by going out to the garage or the barn. I’m slowly building up my pieces of equipment, but boy I miss all those tools I had. You’ve helped in that regard. When I see you using something that looks like I need, I go buy the one you’re using. Some things I can’t afford yet, but they’re on my list 😊 PS Excellent day for America 🇺🇸

Very nice tour! I think it's well thought out and planned for your needs. The new space is larger, square instead of so narrow, just feels better. I like all the modular systems, makes sense. Yes a work bench, on wheels of course. An alarm system would be a good addition also. You sure have collected a lot of tools since the move to Florida, that's not a bad thing.

My husband has our garage organized in a system that he knows where everything is, if I need something he can tell me where it is. It’s great when we are doing projects, I needed him to come to my daughters house to check an electrical panel. He had everything he needed in a portable large tool box. You are going to love your new work area, can’t wait to see what Evee’s will look like

First off, I know you think the old trailer looked cluttered, but rest assured, it was not. You had lots of organization going on there and it looked great. You know what would be cool? Build a shed roof along the whole length of the trailer (on both sides even, there’s room on the back side) to stare mower, bikes, maybe your smaller cars, etc. A shelter to stack lumber or something you don’t want exposed. Yeah?

They were all in the enclosed trailer before this and that was honestly even more of a risk. But all was fine. We live in a good area with nice and watchful neighbors. And this building is close to our home.

Awhile back I tried to get Dewalt to donate a bunch of the batteries to you since your channel is large and you mostly only use their tools. They said at the time they weren't giving things. :( MAYBE if the other folks that follow you will share this vid with them and ask again they WILL give you a bunch of different sized batteries so you will have more charged when you need another one at the trailer rebuild. I tried! Hoping others will reach out to them because this would be GOOD advertisement for them!!!! When you were talking about tossing that heavy metal desk I was like MAN I WOULD LOVVVVVVVE to have that for a workbench! It's heavy enough and everything. IF it's too low you could get those bed risers to sit the legs on to raise it up. Then you could store roll out things under it. I think it would be a REALLY NICE workbench!!! Well done and my dream system!!!

Thank you. We have enough batteries but we appreciate that you did that. Actually DeWalt gives away of a lot of free tools to people on Amazon through the vine program just to leave a review. It's annoying because the people who get the free stuff are just "top reviewers", and not people who actually know and need and use the tools. It's a disservice to the people who would actually benefit from the tools and are able to help promote the brand. And it's a slap in the face to the people like us to actually spend the money to buy the tools they are giving away for free in exchange for a review. It cheapens the DeWalt brand.

I’m a Milwaukee guy, and have been using packout for a couple years. Love it. I will say, however, that Klein’s boxes are the closest thing to a competitor I’ve seen. Bias and copium considered from my end, you’ve purchased into a great system.

Awesomeness!! My husband has a similar setup just like your Modboxes, they are so handy and versatile. But you opened up a can of worms, because his doesn't have the drawer options or the tall tool space on the back. I love Kline tools, the best. I really like how the mod boxes click together. With everything you have in there you should have a security system since you’re showing this to everyone. I know you’re into this new building but one day you need to build a larger shop with a garage door and exhaust system with air conditioning.

you've come a long way from the make do tools days. Quite the collection! I use tall filing cabinets on rolling stands for my storage, those work great as well, just not as pretty as yours.
