@@markross5389 There are some projects out there that I used as an inspiration. Home-Barista has an article about doing that with the Bonavita kettle that you can google (KZbin isn't letting me post links). I took the one from that site and added up/down/hold button control (my wife drinks tea, and I drink coffee, so we need to change the kettle temperature all the time) as well as relay feedback so I can be notified when the kettle has heated.

YoLink devices are part of my system and work so well from distance. Their fobs are multi button smarts that all play pretty well with alexa routines or on their own. Their sensors only one that worked for my outdoor driveway sensor and temp sensor only one I found reliable for my freezer alert from garage. is a nice setup. My setup not so detailed. They did a nice job on their place with solutions.

I'm currently trying to get my zooz light switch to work as a button with 11 chinese smart potlights and some contact and mmwave motion sensors and dialing in home assistant against smart tuya potlights has been tough. Just when i thought i had it 3 are offline im not sure if its the light itself they wont re sync onto wifi. I just had to put it on pause and use them in their on off relay function mode for now That wall of devices pulled into home assistant integrations looks awesome. Kudos

Some really great ideas. It would be nice for the industrial sensor equivalents to be available for your average home automation users. I not sure too many folk would be prepared to spend £1000 on a water flow sensor, certainly not to save on water losses. For me £1000 is four years total water usage.
