the reason why the hair on your crown puffs up could possibly be because of hot showers. the steam opens your cuticle TEWWWW often so when you're not styling your hair (dont u have low porosity cause i do) dont use hot water or it just messes everything up

I have been rocking mini twists for 7 months now (moisturize daily; redo every 1.5 months so that they don't loc; wash and condition 2-3x a month). Ladies, my hair is THRIVING...I mean retaining EVERY inch 🙌🏽😂. AND i still braid them down and wear my wigs over them when I want 😁

To be honest I like your natural hair best. I like weave and braids and the looks of wigs because its convenient but i feel we should wear our natural hair more. Our generation is a lil obsessed with fake hair and lashes and boobs and everything. Think I might start wearing twist again. Its a good protective style and can last a long time. It just takes forever to twist your whole head in small twists.

Cdl41888 I beg to differ. Natural hair companies and products flourished in this generation because being natural is more acceptable now than it was almost a decade ago. About 10-20 years ago women were frying there hair with hot combs, using perms and flat ironing the hell out of it. If anything this generation is more accepting of personal self-expression and choice, which can include weaves, natural hair or going bald.

I think I need to start twisting again. I used to do it in the early 2000's and my hair grew very quickly, it was so shiny and healthy. It was the best protective style ever! Better than wearing braid extensions (too much breakage).

I'm a month and two days in with my twists, I have condition twice and its not dry at all also I use aloe vera as a leave- in ✌️ PS: mini Twists don't wash well the frizz is unreal plus ur hair may or may not unravel but if you have no where to go you be fine

I recently went through the same thing ...... i wear a twist outs because it keeps my 4a/4b hair from tangling and also moisturizes it and my hair needa a break and also it takes my hair like 48 hours to actually air dry all the way so in the summer twist outs are perfect while its drying . I was always one of those ppl who thought of twist outs like someone wearing rollers outside ......it just aint a look sis unless your twist outs are super long . when i finally had to come to terms with the fact that twist outs is best for my hair.......people would tell me in public how much they like my hair and just assumed it was a style so now I’m more accepting of the fact my twist are beautiful and I’m braver to wear them as a actual style .

Sippin This Content try it out! I have shorter hair than hers and I've done them before. Just make sure each section you twist is detangled and moisturized and the way you twist also plays a part in them coming out good.

I wear my hair in regular twists a lot. Usually about 3 days. They are gorgeous. I rarely wear anything but my natural hair but have used synthetic hair for braiding and for wigs. I’ve never worn human hair. I’m creeped out at the thought of wearing hair that grew out of someone else’s head on my head.
