About the Global single item: as per your saying - for this item we should keep it in our model before the data collection. Do I understand correctly? if so what is the basis of it which captures the essence it any particular construct? do we need to measure it in formative order?

The single item is to capture the overall essence of the construct. Its one item in the construct, so neither reflective nor formative.

If the model that I analyize consists of IV (HOC: Reflective-formative), Mediator (LOC) and DV (Reflective-Reflective), Shall I validate the two higher order variables (IV & DV) at the same run? after vadiating the the model as LOC as a whole.

Sir, how to deal with the issue when the outer weight and outer loading of any particular construct appears insignificant in the disjoint model of HOC validation? Should we delete that particular item and validate the HOC with remaining items? Please respond.
