Maria's Dair could possibly come from 2 other games: Apart from SMW (and the NSMB games) Super Mario Galaxy with the spin attack Super Smash Bros + Melee, as his downb was originally the spin in both games, but was replaced with FLUDD in Brawl onwards

That taunt Mario used since the Original Smash Bros. was iconic, fun to test out even when Mario actually has been enlarged or shrunken, did they have to get rid of that iconic trait in Ultimate. I barely even know what Mario thumbs upping is even based off from what he’s done over the years.

Those who are saying that the purple coins are from Mario Galaxy, the sounds the coins make when they appear are the same as when they are collected in Odyssey and Cappy also appears when this happens so they're the regional coins from Odyssey.

Mario needed to change the most, I have ideas. Run-Mario 3 Running Animation Dash Attack-Long Jump Side Smash-Mario and Luigi Hammer Pummel-Capure Side Special-Cappy (With this move, you can through Cappy, you can hold the special button to hold Cappy in place for two seconds, use the joystick for a homing cap through, and use the A button to vault on ground, or Cappy dive off the ground) Up Special-Fludd (The idea is that you can mid-air spin like in Galaxy, than you can use Fludd to hover, like in Sunshine, and the hovering lasts just as long as in Mario Sunshine, and you can move horizontally with the joystick) Down Special-Spin (It's back from Melee) Finale Smash-Tank (Mario captures a Tank, and you shot three bullets, and it controls similarly to Zero Suit Samus' Wii U finale smash, or Snake's Brawl finale smash)
