I think you and Sam should do this channel together. You guys make a great team, and it's easily visible that you guys have a strong friendship. It's very hard to find someone who's willing to do these kind of activities with you. So the fact that Sam is there is amazing. You guys rock. Keep up smash fishing!!!

I don't know if you know this or have ever tried it or even heard of it but we when we go clamming we soak all of our clams overnight in a bucket full of the saltwater they came from and then a whole bunch of cornmeal and what they do is eat the corn meal and then they spit it out with all the sand and it also gives them a good sweet flavor when you cook them they taste great.... I think you should try it out one time I think you'll really enjoy it

The sausage just reminds me of a good old fashioned Louisiana crawfish boil. 😋 potatoes, citrus, smoked sausage, corn on the cob, maybe some onions depending on how you make it, a shit load of Zatarains spice and the mudbugs themselves. Gotta get some greens cooked up with the pork fat to finish it off and you got a feast right there.

Chorizo adds such a depth of smokey flavor to everything! Couldn't quite figure out what it was till I saw you cutting into it. Here in the states, we pronounce it chore-ree-so. Doesn't really matter how you say it, as long as you use it. This was quite a forage for you guys. I really enjoyed your harvest as well as all the other things you found and talked about! ❤🦀🐚🦐🐟

After you squeeze the lemon just throw it in for extra flavour from the skin! Maybe slightly smaller piece perhaps 1/3 of a lemon... Then it will soak up all the seafoody goodness and squeeze it on the food afterwards STUNNING!!

I just wanted y’all to know that y’all are great. Keep up the hunt guys. Side note. If you roll the lemon on the rock or whatever surface you have with a little pressure from your palm back and forth a few time it releases more of the juice when you squeeze it.

When I cook lobsters (Massachusetts Cape Cod lobsters) I use a very unorthodox method taught to me by a friend’s father who owned a bar. In a large pot I put about an inch of water and 1-2 bottles of a nice strong beer. I prefer Heineken but any full bodied beer would work. In go the lobsters (I will kill them first now) and I steam them until when pulled on an antenna comes out quick and easy. The beer foams up to cover the lobsters once it boils. The lobsters, in my opinion, come out sweet and tender. Delicious with no beer flavor. I’ve never produced a tough lobster with this method and it works great every time.

I really love watching you guys. But here's a tip when preparing cockles. Get a bucket with salt water, put the clams, cockles, razorhead etc into a net bag with seaweed to keep them alive and put it in the water. But have some gap undernieth. So they can spit out all the sand by tomorrow for good eating.

Try boiling whole pieces of garlic(with or without the peel) and whole onions and carrots . The favor that comes out of this is unmatchable. Just use a little black pepper and Himalayan salt. And a few squeezes of fresh lemon. U can throw a good piece of butter in also . Works good with crabs lobster or shrimp well -jason

Perfect all spice for seafood is called Tony Chacheres creole seasoning. Perfect seafood spice. Has everything in it that you use, spice wise. I literally put it on everything, my gf always complains I use it so much. But for what your doing it will be the best spice to use. Comes in a green cardboard cylinder like container, has a chef with a big cast iron pot in front of him on the label. Try it, at least once if you can find it. Won't regret it I promise.

Hey man great video. Just a tip, when you cook a lobster make sure the water is boiling beforehand. Leaving it in whilst the water is not boiling will increase the cooking time and lead to rubbery and tougher meat.

Great video! Some suggestions: definitely add more garlic whenever you cook. A great seasoning we use in the US is called Old Bay Seasoning. It goes great on crabs but would taste delicious in your sauce as well. Lastly, think about adding some fresh herbs to your sauce. Another meat to consider adding would be some pancetta. Pancetta is an Italian cured pork belly cut into little bits. Italian bacon basically, soooo good added to broths and seafood. Must stir fry it crisp first
