I remember being about 16 at a party, and my mum was waiting up for me to get home... when I got in the door, she said: "That weird Pumpkin band you like was on TV, so I put a tape in and recorded it... " I ended up with a great copy of this whole concert. Many thanks to the Pumpkins for putting it out there, but also to my mum (not MOM, as I'm Australian) for realising that amidst my teen angst of the mid 90s was some awesome music waiting to explode...

The Smashing Pumpkins are the BEST alternative band ever. This was the height of their career and when I first really noticed them. Billy's vocals were spot on, Jimmy played like his life was on the line every show and James and D'arcy rocked it like there was no tomorrow. As said, they were gargantuan. In my heart, they always will be.

Woah damn dude. Well, better 13 years after the fact than never. Great album. Probably my favorite, or definitely in my top 5 all time. No joke. The mainstream songs on this album did great (bullet with butterfly wings, tonight tonight, 1979), but it's the lesser known songs that really hide their artistic abilities. Check out "Thru the eyes of ruby", "Bodies", "Muzzle" or "Here is no why". None of those were singles, but the latter two could easily have been in my opinion.
