I hate to limit myself but I am honestly starting to think that this is my favourite album of all time!!
@neilanadams5173Ай бұрын
Honestly think it is the best album ever, close ones are white album, physical graffiti but not much else comes close to the amount of quality stacked into one body of work.

Tales of a Scorched Earth is actually Billy just singing a few lyrics from the song during a mellow breakdown of a half-hour Silverfuck jam, this one being from 9.17.1996 or 9.18.1996, the two shows played at Madison Square Garden that tour.

Holy sh*t! I was so excited to hear Tales of. A. S. E. 🤦🏻♂️ but it was only a tease... I think they've never played that entirely b4 :(

yeah i think there have been many iterations and variants of the this artwork before...i think some were just not chosen at the time of release but have since been used later on or reworked like the deluxe re-mastered re-release of the entire album with all the extra tracks and what not. really cool either way...this one reminds me of lady liberty painted in a lot of french painting or the statue of liberty... really beautiful!

This is great! Thanks for doing this. Only change I would make is to favor versions with the original line-up. The 2000 version of 'Ode to No-one' is great, it's got a completely different feel from 95/96 era versions. You can really tell when Jimmy's not playing, like on 'Where Boys Fear to Tread'.... they sound like a different band altogether.

Some songs live without Jimmy (where boys ... and By starlight, from belfort 1997) and too much accoustic stuff from 1996 (when they had no band to open for them and did their own accoustic show) whereas the double door stuff (live + rehearsal in spring 1995) are the best gem from this era, in the middle of the writing/recording, with a better Billy voice, and a slower and groovier rythm. Also, a lot of the stuff from the 1st gig broadcasted on radio (in october 95) should have been put (the one with the power outage when they began playing zero). I'm also searching for a version of tru the eyes of ruby where Billy is still playing the electric riff with the slide instead of brainless chords ...
