I main King Dedede, and I'm NGL I coast through early bracket on the low-tier privilege of no one knowing what my character does at high level. However, at high level or within region with people who play me I know that I have extremely good adaptation to change my play to counter the counter because I believe Dedede, at a high level, has those tools. The boon dedede has over most low-tiers is his survivability, which allows me to get a better read on my opponent and less likely for myself to get cheesed early. Also as Charles stated around 22:45, Dedede IS SUCH A GOOD BRACKET CHARACTER. He is so fucking scary to fight, and you can't get free wins off him unless you play clean is literally no mistakes but guess what everyone makes mistakes and one mistake against Dedede means a Jet Hammer to the blast zone.

Ayyyy all I gotta say is low tiers are more unhealthy for the game than top tiers and if we’re gonna ban any character it should be the low tiers first
