Hell yeah, Setrab & Mocal are sick. Way better than buying a junk Mishimoto kit. That's what my VQ oil cooler kit came with... though since I have the awd model I found out the hard way that the sandwich plate isn't exactly the same fitment as a rwd model car. The adapter is completely different and I couldn't install it at the time. Still looking for a different fitting, I might just snag one from a car in the junkyard and modify it at this point. Also great choice with Chappelle's R kelly skit.

The skit felt like it fit rather nicely 😅😅😅 After using the mocal and setrab it's the only way I'll go again 🔥
@cd5sircoupe2 жыл бұрын
@@Smeedia I should rephrase my comment... the Mocal plate had a different adapter that went into the block than my car. The location is slightly different too, mine was on the front of the block but the rwd cars are on the passenger side; the portion that mates the sandwich plate to the block itself is not only a different size but also thread style. It's been a few months so I'm a bit rusty, but one was internal thread of one end and external on the other, while the other was external threads on both ends. Obviously that wasn't going to work so I just put it back in the box for the time being.

OEM cooler also acts as a warmer, the coolant temp corolates with oil temp closely. So when you start pushing the car the oil will heat with the coolant. I also use 5W30 to compensate for a small oil pressure drop 🙏

When changing oil weights it's important to know the pressure more than Temps. Ya you got 160f temp but if the pressure is 10psi idle then we have a problem. I target 30psi warm idle and 70psi warm WOT. Hate to see low pressure results to see low Temps. Bye bye engine.
