When laying vinyl down on glass, plastic, metal etc… don’t waste money on application spray save some money and mix your own for cheap. Mix a couple drops of dawn dish soap, 1 cup rubbing alcohol and water. Shake well and that’s it spray the back of your vinyl and trust me the water will evaporate and the vinyl will still be sticky! Good luck!

The best way I've done to burp the P/S fluid is to start the car for like 2 seconds to suck the fluid in, then refill, repeat about 3 timee. Then go full lock to lock once it starts quieting down. If you leave it running it can aerate and then you gotta wait for while for all the bubbles to go away. I worked at Honda, was the fastest way.

Well fancy that, I used to do weld inspection. If you're really curious about the quality of your weld, you could do a simple dye penetrant test on that weld. You can get what you need at any weld supply store just 3 spray cans and you'll see if you have any pin holes, porosity, Root lack of fusion, undercutting. But holding a seal is what matters.

Car sounds dope tbh, Man I went to one step colder plugs today and finally finished my half ass secondary air injection delete. I took out the whole crossover pipe between the solenoids. Bought some stiff rubber plugs and sealed up the solenoids. And it seems good tbh 😂 I took it for a drive and only hit 18.5lbs of boost instead of the 20lbs I’m supposed to hit. But I think it’s just an ecu learning thing maybe. The car seems great. I love your wrx bro!

Finally got my car back from the body shop. It's going to look soooooo good when I'm done with it, put on a 03 jdm sti front clip fixed the areas in the frame that got mangled from the wreck with pretty much new front frame. Going to put on sedan rear doors and quarter panels, the rear doors will bolt up right? Don't know if there's any difference between sedan and wagon rear doors other than they are a bit wider to flow with the quarter. Shooting for 7-800 hp to the wheels but now it's just a matter of splicing pigtails and connector plugs from harness to harness. I turned the engine over manually and it seems like it has good compression still but the tb broke and bolt of the cam sprockets broke on the passenger side head. Would that mean I don't have any bent valves if my engine turns over like it should? No weird bindups or anything.

You can still Have bent valves and the engine will then over okay, leak down test will be the best way to tell. Glad to hear it's almost sorted out 🥳 as for the rear doors I'm pretty sure they bolt right up and will fot 🤔

@@Smeedia alright well buying a used 205 longblock for 250 all the heads I've seen they want 300-1200 so I just figured buy this slap the heads on and send it. It's weird you'd think you'd hear at least something rattling around in the engine like it had dropped a valve but nope. But yeah my car is going to be the only car with a jdm sti front clip and sedan quarters in the south dakota area just sucks that the insurance totaled it and dropped from $9999 to $7800 on the carfax. It's whatever I know what I got lol

What up tanner just got my 2011 wrx my motor blew up it sucked dealing with the warranty people they wanted all the resists of 4 years of oil changes and the first two I did have them but the rest I didn't because I did it my self it was a pain but happy I have it back but now I'm going to get everything to make it reliable aos, gages, let me know what else I need please

It does turn off it takes about 8 min , if you turn the car off to ACC pull the key after the first click that you can heard from under the dash it will turn off Immediately

I love my CSF radiator on my STI. I see you put one in the WRX. Nice! Don't feel bad about the injectors not being plugged in. I forgot the plug 2 of my coil packs and started the car. I was like, that doesn't sound right too. lol Plug the 12V power source to the iwire Wideband to the fusebox so it will turn on off when ignition is on/off.

So, I have stories about this. Turbo replacement. We’ll just say I had added the coolant, then drained the coolant… and then didn’t add more coolant. Car started nicely. Next morning, drove the kids to school. School is 5 minutes away. Car took about 4 minutes to hit temps… and keep climbing… and KEEEEEEPS RISING! Car hit 225 and is rolling white smoke from the passenger side of the hood when I shut it down. Let it sit, nursed it home, then saw the bucket in the garage with all the coolant that was supposed to be in, you know, the engine. Worse, it looked like I had cracked a head, based on what was burning and where it was dripping. Was leaking when the thermostat opened and smoked from the passenger side of the car. Coolant poured out of the right side of the head, dripped down the exhaust and would burn. I was…upset. Cooled off for a few hours then went back in the garage to investigate. Friggen’ clip holding the return coolant from the turbo had backed out and didn’t clip properly around the hose and underlying connector. When the hose pressurized, it leaked coolant down the head… Reattached, topped coolant, and never had an issue again with the cooling. So, it appears you had an interesting time with the power steering rack and the VDC. Did the reset work? Any thoughts on adding more power steering fluid before startup?

Great video like always! Something I've always done when welding pipe or rods is put it against a bench grinder at an angle so when it's butted up against eachother it creates a channel to fill with the filler rod. You've just gotta go slow so it doesn't burn through

Do you think the 08-14 STI OEM seats would fit/connect in the 15+ STI? I like those seats a lot more than the seats in the 15+ and always thought about it.

Is this car going to be one ethanol at all? Or is that not possible anymore with Cobb green speed shit now? I wanna put my 2014 wrx on e85 but seems troublesome now. Especially since cobs flex fuel kit is discontinued.

Hey @smeedia love this videos. What would you recommend for a p0420 code on a 2011 Subaru Wrx limited. I’ve changed both o2 sensors. Really don’t want to change a cat, any exhausts out there that could potentially get rid of the code? Need to pass emissions in a few months. Not sure if I Maf sensor needs to get replaced… first time Subaru owner don’t really know a lot about it

I live in Indiana. The entire exhaust is aftermarket. It looks like someone removed original catalytic converter and replaced it with a cheap one. Just need to know what my best bet would be. I see how expensive exhausts are and catalytic converters are too. So if you can recommend something to get rid of my CEL and not spend so much I’d appreciate it a lot
