TRUST BUT VERIFY: That is what we learned today. With this being my first rotary car I do not know what is normal and abnormal sounding for this engine. Thankfully our Tuner Ryan caught that the car seemed off and well it was. The ignition harness I purchased for the FD was pinned incorrectly causing our ignition timing to be way off.
The thing with using a Haltech is you cannot change the ignition outputs to be whatever you want, in addition, the ignition harnesses documentation did not match the harness either. So we had a combination of improper wiring, incorrect documentation, and incorrect coils going to the wrong plugs.... This could have killed our engine if we did not catch this in time. Thankfully we got it all sorted and fixed before any engine damage could have happened!
