I think it's funny how Meggy said that she has a thing for marine life but Inklings and Octolings canonically eat sea creatures that haven't evolved into a humanoid form like them. I mean, look at the snacks that Crusty Sean sells in Splatoon 2 or the snacks that the marigold sells in Splatoon 3. They're all seafood. I don't think it's cannibalism but it's still funny that Meggy said that.

Fun fact : the fish Mario and Bob cought was probably dead or had much damaged its breathing system because it was outside so long, so by the time they started throwing them in the water the fish would probably not be able to swim or was even alive, so they were throwing perfectly good food into the water, while some people starve to death.

@@raulstopspam1791 I don't know much about Mario lore, but what I know of spikes is they're fish- creatures that can also survive on land. Boopkins originally used the spike model from Mario Tennis Aces, but after the recent Lawsuit arc, SMG4 gave him a new model that's supposed to be more unique. The in- universe explanation for his new model is Miyamoto got tired of people on the internet calling spikes "Fishy Boopkins", so he transformed Boopkins into his current form. He did the same to Bob, as he got tired of nerds calling Garos from Legend of Zelda "Bob".
