Honestly, I feel Meggy would turn evil (sympathetic evil, not evil-evil) after Mario and Bob turned her house into a hotel, probably killed the cat (accidently) and sold of her clothes. She has every right to be pissed. Then Oneshot Wren would be a retired washed-out celebrity who was exposed cheating further adding salt in the wound to Meggy (her childhood idol being a fraud) So Wren has to beat Meggy in an epic one on one duel legitimately to save the mushroom kingdom or inkopolis (probably inkopolis because Meggy has some fairly bad memories).
