You can get home every week or every weekend doing OTR and get over 3000 miles but it depends on where you live.(if your home is centrally located like say Little Rock,Memphis or Nashville it’s possible because chances are you’re going through those cities a lot)

If your money is right, go home every week. Some people OTR can, some cannot. It's all about timing , lanes, and if you are on cpm or %. Either way, you are the only person who knows if your money is right or not.

I mean run for as much you can stack up a 401k. That's the shit people don't think about yeah you can have fun. Take time to go on vacation after that get focused. Truckers gotta get use to the snow put ya chains on in the winter. Some companies will pay you to run chains. People don't take advantage of the opportunity to get to the extra bag . If you got kids and child support you gotta think about all that and retirement plans so you need money. This man is speaking nothing but truth.

I went home every other week when I was with Melton and I did not even have to travel out of route to go home while on a load because I stay near i-80 and most of the loads I had ran up and down i-80 anyway so why sit at a truck stop and do my 10-hour break when I could just go home and do it so when Christmas and New year's came out rack up so much hometime days anyway I would stay off 2 weeks. But I still man over 60 Grand a year

If Local was like any other 9-5 job then I’d believe it would be enough to fulfill family obligations. But that is not the case, Local or OTR you are working 14 hours a day, and that’s not including the time commuting to go to work. This goes for otr and Local dudes also. You got bad meat back home? Bullsh*t lol. Give me 2 weeks and I’ll find out how many side dudes she got, and which kid is not yours. 1 in 3 Children fail dna paternity test. I didn’t make that up, that’s a government statistic.

Bad advice TB. Basically telling people "stop complaining and do your job slave". Terrible mentality, it's the reason wages haven't gone up in 40 years, yet productivity has almost doubled (all that extra profit going to the owner/investor class instead of working people). Should be pushing to go home MORE often, not less often....
