Thanks!and to clarify my comment, this was done not with trucking but before before I start. So the only note I have are electricity and cell phone and I live in the South so things are relatively cheaper. Keep my bills at $600 month and the rental property pays that with money left over still so the $$ from trucking will all be for investments in another business. Good to hear of your goals,you will definitely meet all of them :) Many Blessings to you.

@1jimmarch5 жыл бұрын
If you save up three hundred bucks a week in your first two years OTR, you will have 30000 big ones. There are still lots of good used $20,000 trucks the date from just before DPF filters it like the one that killed big red, trucker Brown's old truck. You didn't sign off on a company that gives you at least 80% of the load and you put 10 grand aside as your emergency reserve, and and you go make some big damn money. put aside at least $500 a week until you've built yourself up to the 30 Grand reserve level which is enough money to fix anything that can possibly go wrong.

Basically if you run the truck and save the $ you can set yourself up for success in a decade. What's hard to understand about that? Where did I say " rich " ? 150 k move differently all over the country. It's not the same $ in San Diego and in Mississippi... Or Maine to Alabama. Hea, 38yrs old and I kinda miss the road, if you want to make the most of being a single driver, carry a bicycle on the truck. Learn to strap it to the back correctly or take the tires off and keep it on the passenger side. Then request home time in the areas that look fun. Take an uber to where you want to ride and have fun. Good hiking boots too, take advantage of your mobility, don't just rot inside the truck. I saw northern cali alot for this reason. But I was flatbed, which is the better. Oh side show attractions, read or watch American gods and go to the house on the rock
@kalillloyd15914 жыл бұрын
why do you say flatbed s better
@silinusvers4 жыл бұрын
@@kalillloyd1591 there's more physical labor but less bullshit, you rarely wait in line compared to van drivers, i always thought the physical labor of securing the load was nice to get blood pumping before the drive. Flatbed handles better in high winds, and if you get a little camping stove a pan, a chair and good headphones, your trailer becomes a great place chill

But this also happens to women that aren't ready or sure of what they want. Men can hold back women just as a women could a man. As far as a man handing his paycheck to me not never! In life there are always sucky parts but once you get the bullshit out of the way and realize you never had anything so why keep thinking as though one day you will. Nope you won't why because someone manipulated you. Then when you say enough is enough and you see that cat for what it is...theres no turning back. 13:00 not just the limited parts, if they did have the part it'll be more expensive to fix it! When i first got my car it was a broken down jeep wrangler, broken transmission only gear that was alive was 1st and 3rd, and bad rear diff along with the transfer case. so in my mind i was like well, i got this "free" jeep wrangler now i just gotta fix it up so i walk into this transmission repair shop explained my situation and what i needed got a quote for $649 for the transmission and 300 for the transfer case (after shipping expecting to only pay around 1k in labor costs). 3 months down the line i got an invoice for 6,000! all i can say is that they don't want you to save money, they want you to be in the hole! so yeah, it would have been cheaper to just go with a used vehicle and replace the jeep than to fix it too sad really.
