1:38 I have a theory about this part. I believe this man is the same one that got run over by the truck in the teaser. Here he appears to be staring at a burning person. So what I'm thinking is that the man here is actually Joel from the first film and this scene is a flashback where now he's having hallucinations of Rose, whom dies via burning herself in the last movie and since at that moment Joel has the curse, the entity is now torturing him with his last memory of Rose burning herself right in front of him. Back in the teaser trailer, we see him running away from something while holding his most likely injured arm, panicked, before being brutally killed off. If you look closely from behind, you can see an unknown character in the house window firing a weapon in his direction. My prediction is that this unsympathetic assailant tried to kill Joel, believing that it would break the curse for good, but in a panic, Joel ends up getting run over instead. But that's just a theory.

​@@veritysimoneThere's also this new character named Morris who is discussing with Skye about the curse. It is very clear that he is somehow aware of this entity. The last thing he says to Skye is "We need to kill you first." I have two theories about him. 1: He generally wants to save her, but to do that, he must temporarily stop her heart in order to somehow count her as dead and get the entity out of her body. A KZbinr called "How to beat" talking about how to beat Smile actually proposed and predicted this idea, so it would be pretty insane if that actually appeared. This one is also further implied after the next scene which shows a heart rate monitor and Morris opening the door to a hospital bed. 2: This one's more unlikely given the evidence for the first one, but I have no idea what's going to happen. Morris may actually be trying to kill any one whom he believes has the curse, thinking that he could stop it for good. Heck he might've been the guy who was trying to shoot Joel. But as I said, this one is kinda unlikely given the previous evidence. As for the shooter, I'm pretty sure he's human, cuz the entity/demon/monster doesn't usually interact with the physical world, and therefore wouldn't be able to wield a gun. And we know that Joel isn't imagining it either, seeing as he is holding one of his arms as he is running from the assailant. But I might be wrong so we'll just have to see. It is so weird to read so many silly comments in hindsight. Internet really makes people fools; they want to say whatever comes to mind, no filter, no second thoughts. “This doesn’t look like a sequel to Smile” “Looks like a weird time gap between the two, no explanation” “Looks like they spent the budget on not making things more interesting, just flashier”. It’s depressing that this is what the internet does. I’m glad Naomi killed it. Smile 1 is excellent and Smile 2 is just exceptional, in no small part because of her acting / singing / dancing skills, which coalesce into this character to create a masterpiece.

IMO for the “SMILE” Movies you need to AVOID the trailers at ALL COSTS! I just saw it yesterday & I was so surprised & didn’t see that coming at all. You just have to close your eyes when you see the trailer pop up whether on social media or the theatre. If you wait until after you see it you will IMMEDIATELY be thankful that you avoided it. @@stevesims5729 If the people in control aim to end Smile at Smile 2, sure. I can't see why they would when the character of Smile has so much potential (I realize you probably disagree with that). If you can establish a franchise, why not do it? A lot of people seem to think that they know all there is to know about Smile the Entity; me, when the movie ended, all I wanted was to know more, as I felt sure that there *was* more to be known. The teaser for 2 reveals that there is indeed *some* hope for Smile's next victim, a pop star named Skye who is indubitably quite used to strangers smiling at her. Perhaps the accountant in the first film was wrong; maybe there IS another way to rid oneself of Smile! Dr. Taub in the trailer certainly wants to help Skye try. Perhaps their attempts do indeed affect Smile, but not in the way they had hoped; maybe it changes its approach to inflicting and manipulating trauma. Anything different that Smile does in this film will bring us closer to understanding what it is and how (if?) it can be defeated. You claim it is going to end with Smile entering Skye and then killing her in front of thousands of people; I don't think so. The trailer shows Skye becoming increasingly unable to deal (I imagine she is under even more pressure than Rose to keep her shit together and who knows what HER trauma is); I doubt she's still performing at the very end. More importantly, it isn't Smile's style to engage like that; it favors quality over quantity and likes to keep things very intimate and personal. I guess we'll see. Sorry, I guess *I'll* see; I assume that since you already know what's going to happen you won't be watching 2. Me, I think it could be good, and I'm going in hopeful. I think a franchise of Saw proportions is possible (to be clear, not saying I love Saw).

Второй момент: в 1 части чувствовалась атмосфера безысходности, и цвет был подобран холодным, а саундтрек был шедевральным на протяжении всего фильма. В 1 части не было много людей по сравнению с новой частью, это придавало чувства одиночества, и операторская работа была на высоте. Третий момент: улыбки людей в первой части были очень пугающими.
