GalaxyZazzGirl It's the same difference, Trucy's still his daughter. Phoenix wouldn't just go around casually call her his "adopted daughter", he'd call her his daughter most of the time. Doing the former is really mean to the child, for starters, plus feeling the need to do that just helps enforce the idea that adopted families aren't "real families", which is complete BS. Also we do know exactly what happened to Trucy's biological father, incidentally. He was murdered. That was in the fourth game.

Basically this is how the story goes: Minukie (Trucy) performed her magic on a circus. One of her trick was, "magic pantie" . She made a cat, Michaelangelo disappear inside her pantie. As shr tried to bring him back, she couldn't. The expensive cat was completely gone. She was called by the police and became the defendant of her trial. Her father, Naruhodo (phoenix), odoroki (apollo) and Kokone (Athena) decided to be her defense attorneys.

Considering the little Japanese I actually picked up, It's really hard to tell if they are saing "I see" or if they are referring to Phoenix because his Japanese last name is Naruhodo. I can only tell if they say san or some other honorific after it.

@@alteredpenguin2073 ik im way late on this but you guys are wrong, not everyone uses san with him. naruhodo-san means mr. wright, but some people just call him wright, same as in the english version. edgeworth for example. honestly you just have to figure it out based on tone and context. like the way someone says "i see..." is different from how they address his name, and the context should make it even more clear.

Outside of context of speaking directly to the person if you say Naruhodo people arent going to think you mean a person named that. They'll thing it's the verb to understand. That's what I was saying I wasn't saying you must always put San after a person's name. But if you do not have a casual relationship with someone using San shows respect especially in a business setting. Also games and Anime the way they speak is way more casual and in some cases rude in every day Japanese.
