Yeah and he didn't play smite 1 for a whole month. He was completely right. in September it just changed cause hi res released more information about patches. It is so weird if you to take something he said a full month ago, (when we knew almost nothing about the game and it's development,) and not add it to today's context. He didn't know there were gonna be only 3 week uptades and didn't know all the gods that were gonna be released. How could he have known that there was gonna be both no matchmaking or fun gods released? He couldn't have so stop trying to troll in KZbin comments and get a life. All of you.

I kept telling people that Smite 1 was better and i got called slurs online Smite 2 wont feel good for me until a year from now. Right now there just isnt enough on Smite 2 to justify it being the main game over Smite 1

@@zekrinealfa1113 Because it kind of already has been, what new content did smite have in the last 6 months? Last god release for smite 1 was Nut in february. Patches now only have a few skins and some "Balance changes" that barely change anything.

When I heard about Smite 2, I figured it would just be a copy paste with better graphics. The fact that's it's starting from square one and has 10% of the content and features, just makes it incomparable. Unplayable in my mind.

Personally I don’t like the intelligence strength system. Also I’d rather have two strong relics and active items that are weaker in comparison rather than have one relic and three op actives in my build. The colors in the game are also off putting compared to smite and don’t seem to hit that same appeal for me as smite 1, however, I do prefer having 7 item slots. That’s lit. The game looks good-ish and feels good too

@@nicholasroberts3202 Deadlock is in Alpha and it is honestly more fun than Smite 1 and 2? Your point? Why are you coping so hard my dude? Fast forward 6 months and maybe Smite 2 will feel better... but im not holding my breath. HiRez really dropped the ball announcing S2 too early. way too early. And just because Deadlock feels better and more fun to play doesnt mean Smite 1 is awful. Smite 2 is awful, so far.

sometimes we say things, realize we were wrong. Initially I had a similar stance, as my personal experiences with the servers were completely fine. Then things just went downhill for me.. ranked was jank, small godpool, slow patches, glitches etc..

Hi Res is trying to get smite 2 into a better place while also try in to introduce new items/builds. They should have focused on gameplay first then new items cuz they’re failing at both rn. Also where’s Thor and Ra? We need them ASAP in SMITE 2.

I’m a computer programming tech at the highest level possible …. They could have EASILY upgraded smite on ue3 to smite on ue5 it’s complex and the game would’ve been down for 6-12 months but that would’ve saved them true fans who are losing a lot of borders like myself and my one gm conq border from s11, it sucks

@@DustyMill they technically did the same with no gains. They announced Smite 2 a year early and that really ate all sales for cosmetics and skins for Smite 1. Its like literally doing the same shit.

No, they could not have "easily" upgraded the game. Upgrading from UE4 to UE5 is "easy" because it is inherently something you can do, as epic made the migration process easily. If, hypothetically, Smite ran on UE4 for several years, it still would be a tremendous task as UE5 deprecated several features in UE4, which leads to broken code that would need to be fixed. Secondly, shutting the game down for 6-12 months would have left the game literally dead in the water and would not have saved "true fans". It would piss people off INFINITELY more and content creators such as Weak3n would not have any income whatsoever (the game also would 100% lose their existing content creators to other games). It also quite literally would make Smite irrelevant, and likely would make Hi-Rez as a company cease to exist unless Erez has a significant amount of funds to pay for every developer in the studio to work on Smite 2 for up to a year+. Thirdly, even with shutting down the game, porting over every cosmetic and god would still be a tremendous task. Not only are they using UE5's specific VFX system (which would mean that every skin and god in the game would have to be redone from a VFX standpoint), but all of the gods and skins also have physics applied--which is not in Smite 1. All of the "physics" in Smite 1 are hand animated. Not only that, but literally every god also has significantly increased polygons, which means that all of the skins would also have to have increased polygons. But, the hilarious part of your comment is not even the lie about your field, it's the fact that you said "that would’ve saved them true fans who are losing a lot of borders like myself and my one gm conq border from s11, it sucks". WHO CARES ABOUT BORDERS BRO? AND A SEASON 11 GM BORDER AT THAT.

@@nexus3966 i only played s11 since recently and i didn’t lie about my field LOL the transition would take a LONG time as smite has a VAST field not even just graphics there’s more to it LOL yes you cannot jump from ue3 straight ton5 but would have to go through the full progression 3->4->5 it is not impossible lol BUT would require game shut down and a HUHE SERVER haul

Smite 2 really is a flop im not even talking about the game design itself im talking about the copying of league with the multiple tier 1/ tier 2 items building into a tier 3 item. The ability/item descriptions. The STR/INT copying league with AP/AD. The magical characters can build crit and phys items. The buff camps copying league. The ability actives copying league. The cooldown rate copying ability haste in league. Its like they went off rail from smite 1 and just started copying league. The red buff is bad and doesnt even give a dmg boost anymore instead it just adds a burn effect. Now they need to copy league even more with copying the STR and int I liked the fact that in smite 1 ojly phys can build phys and ojly magic can build magic. Now we got ymir crit and combat blink and combat channel.

Plus the gameplay just feels so slow and lethargic, that’s my biggest issue, it feels twice as slow. It will never be as good as smite, a classic

Yeah really dunno why everyone thought smite 2 was ready to replace smite 1. Especially for content, yeah the funny items and builds are really interesting, but there's only so much content replayability there. Smite 1 is obviously a better game. Smite 2 is something I only hop on and play every now and then because there's not enough gods, and all the gods are braindead. Look at it this way, for me personally.... I very very RARELY pick any of the gods that are in smite 2, when I've played smite 1. They're fucking boring. Do you? I've been playing the game for 10 years, so it's not that they're out of my god pool or anything. I can play them all well. They're just fucking BORING. I also really don't know why smite source got GUTTED for smite 1, when there's almost double the player counts for that game. Thankfully I don't really "rely" on smite source 90% of the time, but it's nice to see what some of the pros cooked up when locking in a niche god with I don't play much.
