I wonder how relevant the item recommendations still are now... A friend just got me to start playing so I figured this would be a relatively quick way to get acquainted with the various gods and their abilities hoping the core info doesn't change too much and more interesting than just clicking on each god and reading them, while faster than actually trying every single god out for 5+ minutes (especially when I can watch videos at 2x+ speeds). Of course, I'm aware that tweaks are made to items as time passes but I'm not sure just how many items may have been removed or added or completely reworked over the years...

I only noticed one actual god from Norse mythology being Odin since Ymir is Ice Giant, though they can technically count Ice Giants since they are the enemies of Norse gods so if they added Ice Giants they could add Fenrir. If that is the case there are only two current Norse mythological beings in-game, not three.

He is a tank, that's what people don't like about him. He has good base damage on his abilities, and while he isn't like Anubis or Zeus, he can become very tanky and help his team by knocking back enemies, flinging people back (a long way) and getting out of situations. This combination means that he can run in using his dash, throw someone to his team and get out with his ulti.

True, but it's a little more difficult to do that early on. I've also found that Breastplate of Valor is useful in lane, due to its health bonus and cd reduction, and Death's Toll works well with Eat Minion for a quick lifesteal.

I know those are common... I mean like, there's one god's ability (I forgot who and what) where he pushes another god and if that god hits a wall, that god is stunned.. That skill is exactly the same as vayne's. There's more... just go to any god reveal video and there'll surely be a LoL player comparing its skill with LoL's. New skills like ... i dunno.. I'm sure there are many new possiblities with this 3rd person perspectives that HiRez has yet to experiment with.. Smite has alot of potential

I play Bakasura as a Jungler. Taking Smite and Flash for summoner spells. For item builds, I rush Trinity Force for tons of damage. Oh wait, wrong game. Jokes aside, this god looks hands down amazing. Tat "Regurgitate" spell totally won it.

I build trinity force on bakasura for tons of damage, and then build black king bar for the magic immunity. After those two items I commence a timing attack with my zerglings against the enemies warcaster, netting both a caster kill and capping the enemies 3 control points. If you have trouble doing this you can farm nightmare diablo for lame rare drops.

To those saying he's OP. This is a snowball character. He doesn't scale end game and his only real way to do damage end game relies heavily on the true damage of his 3. If a game goes over 30min and you haven't fed him Bakasura will fall off the map. As they stated his Take down is the only scaling attack which is roughly the same damage as Bastet's. Also it will force tanks to get new items to slow the attack speed such at witch's stone.

I've always found meditation to be useful, because eating all the time can really suck away your mana, and baka needs to eat as much as he can.
