Oni Hunters is a very good item for Arthur as a magical defence because of the CCR, Magical Protection and Damage Mitigation but even if they have 1 mage the damage mitigation will give you resistances to magical and physical

I like Oni Hunter's on Arthur sometimes. The stacking damage mitigation in tandem with his passive gives up to 15%, plus another 15% from Spirit Robe when it procs. A great combo if you're the only frontline or just need additional survivability.

Yes, same. I've been running: Warrior's Blessing, Warrior Tabi, Blackthorn Hammer, Glad Shield, Hide of the Urchin, Oni Hunter's Garb, Soul Eater. Then sell boots for Masamune and speed pot, since masamune synergizes with the Oni Hunter's Garb passive.

Quick question. I love playing this God solo so I like to Solo every game. Game starts and without me realizing it Smite had decided to reset all my settings. Music was at max and auto buy/lvl was on. This really put a cripple on my gameplay. But why did Hi-Rez decide it was a good idea to upgrade King Arthur's 2 before any other ability and his 1 last? He is a solo god so I can't for the life of me see the reasoning for upgrading his 2 then 3 first. Why do you think that is?

I see a lot of people suggesting it. Personally I think it's overkill. You heal more than enough with just Glad's Shield and you're better off getting more defense and health to make Glad's more effective than going the Soul Eater route. It can be fun for casuals though for sure.

How do you deal with toxicity in this game? I've been a long time player, but, I mainly play joust. I'm trying to transition into conquest but Im now essentially a noob who doesn't know how to play all over again. The problem is I can't learn conquest because everyone is so toxic. There is no room to learn and they just harass you all game even though they were all at this point at some point or another and it's seriously making me want to quit the game altogether

it's a good item for arthur but I find it that glad shield itself can keep you alive for a long time, and a defense item replacing where you put soul eater is helpful. especially the onis and spirit robe combo really makes you unkillable, make the enemy team focus you and they'll get punished for it, ive turned over so many unwinnable games because of how stupid this character is, even in ranked.

My Arthur build goes like this Warriors blessing Gladiators shield Warrior tabi Soul eater Blackthorn hammer Mantle of discord or pestilence depending on the team comp Void shield And then sell warriors blessing for literally anything else and you are unkillable. There have been enty of times where I healed for an full health bar just off of 2 abilities

Soul eater isn't that viable on him. Antiheal is available to all classes and will nullify its effectiveness.

There have been plenty of times where I've fully healed from near death against 3 players and came out on top so om gonna have to disagree with you that it's useless on him.

Exactly this. Not to mention soul eater scales off damage done and provides less overall sustainability than glad shield with no protections, so you ultimately lose a chunk of tankiness for slightly increased sustain and damage than can easily be played around. It could maybe work in a jungle build at lower-level play, but is otherwise useless.

@@scalpingsnake His ult meter charge rate mainly. He can fill the gauge multiple times in a fight with full steadfast stacks and can use Excalibur's Wrath nearly back to back. His various forms of cc can interrupt a ton of channeled abilities, he has great lane clear, and he benefits greatly from glad shield sustain considering he has 8 total damaging abilities. There are ways to counterplay against him (antiheal and cripples mostly).

@NinGangsta I think that Excalibur's wrath does a little too much damage but you can just beads out of it afaik. I think the main issue is perception. We perceive him to be OP because of what he can do but in reality he can only do well if he is ahead or even if he/his team are behind Arthur can get shutdown pretty easily as he has to be in the fight for a while to really do anything. This is backed up by the fact that he has a really low winrate right now.
