Carried a revolver for the first 20 years of my career & it saved my butt more than once. My EDC is the 340PD loaded w/+P for faster & more accurate follow-up shots. Auto loaders are better for cops & the military but I’ve been retired since ‘97 and no longer chase bad guys.

I have a 637 Performance Center and love it. Its light, easy to conceal but most of all reliable. I always know what its doing, it never misfires or jams. As for capacity, learn to shoot, shoot only when you have a shot and make em count.

so you reload with the left hand like I do. good to see someone else doing that. but you should try holding the gun a little higher on the back of the grip. you will lower the bore axes and it will wrap your hand less and you will have better control over it. I have alot of snubbies and absolutely love them. I am mainly a revolver guy.

Good discussion about the use of the snubbies. Agree, that they provide acceptable self-defense capability and some of the newer speed strips like Zeta6 Sym strips are designed more as 2-1-2 for tactical top off vs. waiting to do full reload, Appreciate the range video. Thank You.

I have the Taurus 605 357 mag. It weighs in at 24 oz unloaded and not fun to shoot 357 mag through it, 38 special +p no problems so I am looking for a lighter 38 special revolver, with a concealed hammer for summer pocket carry. Thank you for the review of this 637. I have been looking at the 642, same gun, weight etc., just has the concealed hammer.

Thank you! I considered both, but felt better about the hammer (I know people say it can negatively impact the draw). I like the idea of being able to take a shot w/single action instead of only double action only. That was why I went with the 637 over the 642. I use mine for pocket carry or ankle as a backup, or if it's just me going around town on errands, in an IWB holster w/the two speedloaders in my front pocket (aholster.com/aholster-bactrian/).

@@exxonv1719 revolvers are still viable defensive tools versatility and dependability with speed loaders are just as effective as autoloaders i like autoloaders also 1911/2011 but I'm a revolver guy love em 🤠

I am new(er) to revolvers, but agree - there is something pretty slick about how reliable and powerful they are, and if you practice reloading, they can be quick to reload. There is no question they are much more accurate, the mechanics of how they run dictate that! They are great defensive tools for sure!!!!

@@exxonv1719 revolvers come in a variety of options saa,swing out, break down, and even twist open style, don't get me wrong i like a good compact autoloader but to me revolvers have a more natural feel and pointability and they don't spray hot brass everywhere

Very cool. I have 2 charter arms .38 snubs and a rugged gp100. If revolvers were left handed friendly I provably would be a revolver uspsa shooter. I love em.

I think USPSA style would require a cylinder cut for moon clips, and a belt w/at least 10 moon clips :). It would be one reload after another!!!

Use both revolvers and autoloaders for reasons stated in this video, preference depending on concealability of apparel. Wheelguns are round and blend in better with body contours while clothes clinging to print out is less so than the squared blocky autoloading pistols. In carrying reloads, autoloader flat magazines not only have more capacity than round speedloaders, but are easier to conceal.
