They are nice.....I like the extended grips for my hands too. Mine was an enhanced action performance center which makes it nice from the start. Appreciate the video. Thanks.

The pachmayr compac rubber grips from back in the day (still produce them) I think are the best grips for control ability. Full coverage (including backstrap which fills hand and help with recoil) and the little cut out for your pinky really makes your hand fit just right. I suggest them for any j frame, but they are not that great for pocket carry. Just a thought

I'll pick them up for the next j, thanks UGD

I have carried J frames for many years. Just great guns! I use either a pocket holster or a Galco leather, open top concealable- hip holster. I like to install the original factory skinny wood grips. I know they are not the best to shoot it with, but they are the best to carry the gun with. And that's what it does most of the time- gets carried. Makes it even smaller and lighter. And I have no problem shooting with the wood grips. Just takes some practice. And I don't mess with the springs. I've had 3 J frames fail to fire. All 3 were used guns that people had put in the lighter springs. I installed the original springs and all 3 were 100% again. I've never had a J frame fail on me that was set up with factory weight springs. Lighter springs do slick up the action. But beware- they can cause misfires. They will normally still pop soft primers. But may have trouble with the harder ones. Just my experience.

Price for a new one at a local gun show I saw was $350. Tax & call in fee it can be had for still less than $400.

Man I'm loving those grips. I have 2 snubbys. Well three if you count Little Uncle Dan 😂👍An 8 shot Taraus 22 mag and S&W model 60 .357. I actually carry the 22mag more because of the 3 extra shots👍🇺🇸

I bought a S&W 637 Performance Center model which has wood grips with room for your pinky finger and they did a trigger job. I use this for my conceal carry. First day at the range shot about 300 rounds. It did take some getting used to, it packs some power. I need more practice for sure. My hand hurt the next day. Nice video.

Same here on the hands. But once you have it down. I do carry a 4" model 10, the extra weight makes a big difference. UGD

@@usedgundude1035 I have carried the model 10 too. The model 10 was my 1st Smith revolver. Way back when I was 23. Picked it up for $125. It was damn near mint condition. Came with the original wood grips and a Bianchi Leather shoulder holster and a full box of Remington 125 gr semi jacketed HP's- +P. A coworker of mine knew the guy that had it. He was getting divorced and needed the $. I bought it sight unseen. Gave my buddy the $ and he picked it up for me. I worked for the State Highway Dept at the time. No guns allowed at work. But my buddy brought it to me in his lunch box the day after I gave him the $. I quickly put it in mine and didn't really get to look at it or check it out until I got home that evening. What a long wait ! Lol. I finally got home that day and pulled it out. It was beautiful ! I ran to my local gunshop and picked up some round nose target ammo. Didn't want to shoot up all my Plus P's! I had it for several years. But I let a buddy talk me out of it during a trade we were making. Damn, I wish I had kept that one! I see those older pin barrel models going for $750 + now.

100,000 plus rounds down range over the years and I shoot better with my pinky in the mix. From the Sig 938 to a J frame, control, group and long distance shots are better. Thanks for the view and the comment, UGD
