Ok I know I'm a year late, but visited Smiths Gully this morning after watching this video. Loved that descent down ridge road, but really struggled with the tight singletrack back up alongside Eltham-Yarra Glen Rd. Blown away that you can go so quick over that stuff, I found it so sketchy! Kept clipping my pedals 'coz I was too worried about falling off the side! Any tips for riding narrow singletrack, or any idea where I can find similarly tight but lower consequence trails to practice my control on please?

Yarra Trails east of Chandler hwy has lots of tight single track. Otherwise Plenty Gorge is good for that too
