Human sacrifice was done all over this earth. The reason can be found in the Bible. Satan demands blood thus people who thought Satan was a god gave him humans.
@maxgarcia1454 Жыл бұрын
I think there's a lot of nuance to it that maybe modern day people don't understand, but to these people they weren't just rituistically killing a child. They were sending her to a new life. Human sacrifice was seen as an honor for some, but even more so it was seen as a necessity. We were so much more vulnerable to the whims of nature, and since the gods were present in nature it was very important to appease them to ensure survival. We kind of take for granted how comfortable our lives are now

@RXI _ Conquering is not what makes one human. It is inclusion which makes us human. Conquering or the need for domination is due to a higher representation of the masculine. If there were more women leaders then the feminine will create a balance for the nature of the masculine. This is also one of the reasons we need to empower more women leaders and instead of replicating how men do things, should emphasize her own nature of inclusion. We really need this balance in the world. So no conquering is not the nature of human beings.

To clarify, this form of sacrifice was used to freeze-dry their god-leaders. This was the highest honour in their culture. They did this to their Kings and Leaders when they passed. Their bodies ,when frozen, were brought back to Incan cities to partake in political affairs and religious ceremonies in death. This 'victim' thought that she would become immortalised and claim a seat amongst her gods. This was more than likely willing.
@Gabrielle567436 ай бұрын
Many religions are centered around dying for a god, Christianity is the only one centered on God dying for you. It is a completely and totally distinct religion where God is kind, forgiving, loves you, and is working everything together to the point He can walk in person with us again on a new earth that is without sin and shame. To explain, God and humans (Adam and eve) walked together in the garden of Eden at the beginning of the world, but since they sinned, and God and sin cannot exist together, we are separated from God unless we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as Lord of our lives (meaning we live to do His will, instead of doing what we want, which is the only way to find real meaning in life, and I and everyone in this world and probably you too, have tried to find meaning in everything else and have bren unable too.). All things leading to the point we walk together with God and the other ppl who loved Christ on that new earth without sin and shame.

Devotion to the religion does not make death any less -- indeed, that's why death was chosen for the young. You can't have it both ways.

This whole story is bittersweet…she was sacrificed for her beauty and rank. Which would have been a noble thing…but if she wasn’t sacrificed we wouldn’t know much of her people. To me, this story combines both spirituality and science…because what was a spiritual honorable sacrifice than is astounding and remarkable scientific discovery now…

They tried to make it seem like she was super excited about being sacrificed what if she didn't have a choice what if she didn't want to be sacrificed what if she was brainwashed..... Don't minimize the fact that a child was brutally murdered

Because she was, you obviously don't know it because you're someone from the XXI century that has no idea at all about the mentality of the ancient incas and their comsology. Would be great if you stopped pretending to...

Picture the mother giving away her child in 6-8 years old (as the authors comment these offerings could be) ...giving her away for good. Despite the honor and “the blaze of glory” this must have been so heartbreaking (((

They were raised for this from birth...... they knew it would come one day. Their family would be honored as she would be. It was an "honor" to be given to the gods. Myself ? Not going to lie, I would have probobly been scared out of my mind. Even if youdidn't want to die, you had no say in the matter at all, you were even guarded until time. In short you wee doomed.
@Neekachu117 ай бұрын
Agreed, at some point, survival instinct would kick in. I suppose no-one knows for sure but I have read that these child sacrifices was an implicit way leaders controlled the population back then. Basically, "we can sacrifice your children and you're going to be pleased about it".
