The Soviets had the Yak-38 which they made about 200 of, it operated fairly similarly to the Harrier. I think due to maintenance costs they were all retired after the union fell apart.

as an american i say they look cooler too may not be as advanced but they sure are some damn good jets and damn good pilots in russia. if a su-57 somehow got in visual range of the F-22 if the pilot of the Su-57 pilot shot down an f22 i wouldn't be surprised
