Loved it all. Was shooting down my hallway last night with my usual cheap Marksman Roundhead .22 pellets which are dead accurate in my Kral rifle with every shot and thought i'd try out the Exact Jumbo Monster Diablo & H&N Barracuda Hunter Extreme pellets that i purchased a year or so ago and couldn't get either pellets to hit, both were like 6-10 inches off the target from a range of say 20-25ft away. You know what....I ordered another box of the cheapo marksman at only £8.89 off Ebay🤣. Great video by the way, nice to see someone normal just out there showing everything as it happened and not all these guys with bullsh*t content that's edited because they received the gun/rifle free and leave the bad bits out. Take a bow....Cheers Adam 👍

Whatever I learn might be helpful to someone else so it’s always worth keeping it in! Don’t get me wrong tho…I’d happily receive free gear to use, but it would have to be realistic and true to life. I know sod all, so an all singing all dancing bit of kit would probably be wasted on me…but I’ll take it 🤣🤣🤣

I bought one a few weeks ago. Ordered a wider port and hammer spring spacers off Ebay. As stock, it was shooting around 5ftlbs in pistol format and 8ftlbs in rifle format. Once I changed to the upgraded parts , leaving the stock on with the pistol barrel and using 16.49 grain pellets and a warm co2 cartridge, I got 8.4ftlbs and on the rifle barrel 11.8ftlbs . As the co2 got colder the numbers dropped but not by much . I need the stock on permanently now whilst using the pistol barrel as its over the legal 6ftlbs limit for a pistol , with the stock on its legal as its classed as rifle 😂. Stupid firearms laws .

Hiya mate, good to see fellow new starters putting out content. As others have said there are variables with CO2 that will cause variables with shot placement and temperature is definitely one of those. You'll also find a power curve. Your best bet and this is only my opinion, is to go to the cardboard first and use groups of three to five with a longer delay between shots, the quicker you fire the colder the unit will get and very very rapidly. You should then document what you're doing on a note pad so that you can see the patterns. A cheap chrono is also invaluable. This can help to see sometimes a really steep drop off after say 26 shots. This is in no way criticism and I would only seek to encourage people into the sport (you'll find a lot of people really dont) secondly I'm not putting myself out there so I'm happy to see people willing to do so especially when they're clearly having a lot of fun along the way 😊

Quick note about the metal target, set it with the legs backwards so that the target leans away from you. This will prevent the swingers from bouncing the reset target and not staying up. Get a chronograph and graph the shots from a full co2. Once the velocity starts to drop off you know how many mags you should get before you need to put in a new cartridge.

I don't know if anyone has explained why the law doesn't allow you to the long barrel on in the pistol format. It will shoot over the legal limit of 6ft lbs for a pistol, this is due to the longer barrel giving more time for the gas to expand, giving you more muzzle energy. A big no no. Keep up the good work. And we all learn about cheap pellets the hard way 😂

I'm not a fan of CO2 for ratting, there's too much variance in accuracy depending on the CO2 level in the canister. The Crossman Ratcatcher is very good, but I ended up with a good springer (HW80) and a Brocock Compatto PCP as I only want clean kills and I found I simply didn't have confidence in the CO2. My take would be to save up and get a better rifle and learn to use that well, spend the time zeroing it down to a consistency of hitting a 5 pence piece at 20 yards before taking it ratting.
@AdzHuntsАй бұрын
Couldn’t agree more. My actual ratting gun is my np02 which is incredibly accurate and works a treat for rats. This was purely to answer the question “will it stop a rat”….its a fun little gun, but it’s going to be kept for the kids or plinking about . It’s fun tho! @AdzHunts Yes, I knew that was the point of the video, my advice was for people watching who may be looking at getting a cheap CO2 rifle for ratting. Another factor effecting accuracy with CO2 is temperature. Enjoyed the video, will be watching your others.

Good watch mate and nice to see someone make an honest video. I would suggest sticking with the pellets you zero your rifle to especially when conducting pest control. Hello, thanks for taking the time to make and show that. Iv been toying with the idea of getting one of them to use on the allotment for rats.
@AdzHunts17 күн бұрын
Genuinely recommend it for that use! It may not be great over longer distances, but it packs a punch in a smaller space, like an allotment! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I appreciate you 😁🤙

@ granted, I’d much rather use my brake barrel to get the full 12ftlb but closer up shots CP2 works fine nice and quiet multi shot I use JSB Hades in mine. I was always taught if you can sink a pellet just past flush in half inch of plywood at your desired range should give you an ethical kill

Beware of adverse weather with a C02 powered rifle, if its too cold, the pellet will fall out the end of the barrel.. But you probably already know that...
@AdzHuntsАй бұрын
I have to admit, I have only been serious about air guns recently, since I fell for my kral np02. When I bought the cp2, it was just a bit of fun, but someone did mention keeping the capsules in my pocket so they work in the cold 🤣🤣 Thanks for the comment. Thanks for watching too 😁🤙

I’d have to agree. It’s good fun. And it’ll do a job if needs be. But I definitely think a more substantial and consistent rifle is better. It’s great for plinking tho! 😁 😁🤙

I'm not sure if you read this , I'm hard of hearing and couldn't make out most of what was being said. The volume was too low but the videography made up for it. Maybe in the next video, up the equalised volume maybe? Great review otherwise. Subbed .

I have one, great little Gun. I'm surprised it's allowed to be sold in 'kit' form to be honest, I expect plenty of buyers aren't aware of the illegality of fitting the Rifle Barrel without fitting the Stock as well. Any Air Pistol shooting at more than 6ft/lb is HIGHLY illegal = jail time if caught with one, be careful, ALWAYS fit the Stock before fitting the Rifle Barrel, and remove the Rifle Barrel before removing the Stock. As for pest control, if it slings the Pellets fast enough, I see no issue using it for that. A Pallet travelling at xxx fps doesn't know/care what Gun it's come from . . .

True on everything! It baffles me how our laws are worked, but they are still laws so we just have to go with them I guess 🤷🏻♂️
@chrisfs150Ай бұрын
Its not all about the power, i do a lot of ratting about the farm and despite everyone saying "oh mines 11.999ftlb.." and mines " 11.5ftlbs i wouldnt go any lower..." Out of all my guns- air arms tdr 410, wierauch 35 export, wierauch 77k, air arms galahad etc the one gun i always pick up is a beaten up old air arms s200 target which is set to 7.5 ftlbs (gets about 150 useable shots being set low) At 7.5f5lbs its pellet on pellet accurate, lots of shots and if you brain shot pidgeons , rabbits and rats out to 30 yrds its deadly... Placement of pellet out wieghs power.. Also to get slightly more shots from your co² cartridges keep them warm it makes a little difference not much but it all helps...
@AdzHunts29 күн бұрын
Great advice! You make great points for sure. If a 6ft lbs pistol can do the job when used correctly, it stands to reason that it’s the shot placement over the power 🤷🏻♂️ I appreciate you taking time to comment! Thanks for watching too 😁🤙
@davidbooth60Ай бұрын
To be honest I haven't a gun that likes Bisley pellets They look good but aren't accurate 👍👍
@jeffreypitt743Ай бұрын
Your cp2 will only do maximum of 6 ft lb ,as its a Pistol with an attachable stock. Your kral will be closer to 12 ft lb as its a proper rifle ,probably hence to dodgy rat kill.Great content though, keep it up.
@AdzHuntsАй бұрын
100% agree. I won’t be hunting with it again tbh, but it was definitely worth the test 🤣🤙 My NP02 is definitely the best option. The CP2 is fun tho! Definitely worth having for plinking about 😁 Thanks for the positive vibes! I appreciate ya 😁🤙
@jakehamilton9352Ай бұрын
In pistol form with the short barrel it will certainly be 6 ft lbs but with the rifle barrel fitted it does about 7 or 8 ft lbs due to the laws of physics and the long barrel...which also makes that power legal as it's no longer classed as a pistol. You're still right though Jeff, the Kral is the best option. And CO2 isn't a very reliable power source for hunting when temperature fluctuations effect velocity.
@Biffo1262Ай бұрын
CO2 air rifles most certainly do kill rats. That's full power rifles that is not pistols. I've done it for decades but CO2 is NOT cheap at all unless you can bulk fill it. I eventually converted all mine to regulated compressed air.
@jeffreypitt743Ай бұрын
@@jakehamilton9352 sorry pal but your wrong, the longer barrel will make it more accurate but the power won't increase, if it does its no longer legal.The maximum it can be with a full cartridge is 6 ft lb.So it can only get less as its used.
@jeffreypitt743Ай бұрын
Also it will always be classed as a Pistol.
