No but good question, i do take inspiration from him from time to time. I think he was the main inspiration for this project combined with other experiments i wanted to try

He 100% used this tutorial. Also the smoke is not casting a shadow on the desk meaning you didn't add a shadow plane which would have made this 1000000% better.

@@dislikecounter6392 i think that most if not all the blender users rn learned from youtube. I learn everything i know from there. Altho combine that with 4 years+ of experience and you have lil more than basics. This video wasn't created by his tutorial, i dont think i even watched it but i did took some inspiration from him and i think around 4 - 5 more things that i wanted to try in this project. You know the saying "if you take inspiration from one person people will say that you stole it but if you take from a lot of people they will say that you are so original" or something like that. And I agree that it can be lil intimidating to say that you took inspiration from someone cuz then people can say that you copied him. I understand why its looking like i just copied his tut, it resemble his style but i didn't watch it haha. Also about the shadow catcher. I did use a shadow catcher and i needed to do a custom light catcher for fire in post. Thank you for replying, its fun talking to you about the subject
