Even by itself, the pork belly looks amazing. The entire Bahn Mi sandwich is epic. Cheers, Ry! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

I love banh mi! I don’t know why I never thought of making it myself with some homemade BBQ. I do love your traditional BBQ videos, but this is a new favorite of mine. It’s something different but still has all the fun :) I know it’s not meant to be a traditional recipe, and I’m not hating! But one thing I thought could be helpful to nailing that “banh mi” flavor is pickling the carrots first. It’d be easy to do while you marinate the meat, and still taste great even without the radish. Either way I’m trying this this weekend ✌🏻

I've seen a lot of banh mi recipes with liver mouse and all sorts of stuff. Your version is more my speed. Love smoking pork belly.

That looks amazing Ry. I wish I could afford to cook pork belly more often. With the big rise in popularity amongst the BBQ community, not to mention the effect of Covid, which made everything more expensive! 😓

Amazing recipe. I already ordered some of the ingredients. I’m also interested in the heavy duty grate you used. Can’t seem to find it anywhere. I’d appreciate the name of manufacturer. Thank you!

Hi! It’s usually listed in the video description but I forgot this time. It’s listed in the description of the video that came out just before this one.

OK RY, BUT THIS IS NOT A BAHN MI! YOU'RE A DISGRACE TO THE VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY... But also I'm definitely making these myself 😅😂 Another great video sir. Big fan !

Why is it that the pork belly at my local store looks like 95% white and 5% red meat ?

I’ve tried your slow and sear method to smoke, but the charcoal and wood pieces caught quickly and got too hot. What’s your secret to keeping it slow?

Dialing in the vent settings. It’s all trial and error.
