Thanks much, Joe! It's a definite win, with lots of possibilities.

Glad you enjoyed it, Angie! This, and a lot of possible variations of it, can easily become a favorite way to do chicken.

It was a pretty fine day all around. The rain even cooled things off a little for a change. I hope you and Dan had a proper one.

I love good pulled pork! Never tried a chicken version of it before, but this recipe is seriously worthy. It's some good eatin ', Larry.

+Anonymoose With all the chicken I'm eating now I must try it. I'm starting to get a little tired of it the way I've been cooking it lately. Just too much chicken but this looks really yummy. Hey I talked to David (Desertphile) today. He called me from "The Cowgirl" bar and restaurant in Santa Fe. They have really good bison burgers. I ate there when I visited him two summers ago. Very nice looking cowgirl waitresses too. Great place if you ever get the chance to go there.

You too, eh? I've been eating a lot of chicken too, so I'm always on the lookout for something different. This is a great recipe, and you can take it a lot of different directions. I think you'll like it! Haven't seen anything from David for a while, and I've been hoping he wasn't drowned. Good to know he's still alive. I'd love to be able to make it out there some day!

Fantastic John as usual! I would be happy to hammer 2.5 of the three obligatory deviled eggs before stealing the potatoes!! What happened to the chicken bacon....inquiring minds would like to know!! Glad you gave this a try and put your own spin on it!! Now send some of that rain my way! Larry
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
+TheWolfePit The chicken bacon was reserved for private consumption, where inquiring minds couldn't get their sticky fingers on it and eat it all. Thanks for leaving me 0.5 of an egg, with tooth marks in it. LOL In its basic form, this could easily become a new favorite way to do chicken. Too easy, just throw it on the grill and ignore it for an hour, and it's already falling apart *and* juicy, and the apple smoke adds a ton of flavor. You can whuff it down right then, and it's great, or you can go in a lot of different directions with the sauce and topping. I'd gladly send you some of the rain. Last tally I heard, we were more than 16 inches above normal for August, and set a new record. Whee...

Thankee sir, as always! Glad you enjoyed it. I got lazy during the summer, with the excuse that it was too hot outside. Of course, that didn't keep me from doing videos indoors, but... I need to scrounge up some new ideas.

+redneck4541 Thanks! Do it, and let me know what you think. I won't tell Larry we cheated on him. LOL I never had a patio with a roof over it until I moved down here, and suddenly it made a whole lot of sense.

It's a sekrit. If I told you where I got it, I'd have to shoot you. I know somebody, though, and I could probably get you one, for the right price... LOL The chicken turned out *really* good, and with the added advantage that all of that heat stayed outside, instead of heating up the house. I can see it as the basis for a lot of different variations. Thanks, as always Michelle, for dropping in!

Jayden was drooling over the skin that you were peeling off .. that's his favorite part !
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
Hahaaa! That's one of my favorites, too, but I don't like them soggy. With all the smoky flavor and seasonings, all they needed was a couple of minutes in the toaster oven to crisp them up, and they disappeared almost instantly. Sorry Jayden. :-)

So good to see you grilling again Moosie! Wow that looks sooooo good. I had a pulled pork sandwich for supper today. I bet your chicken was better. You know I've never tried horseradish. I'm going to have to buy a little jar of it next time I go to the store just to try it out! Woot... another grilling winner! Hugs!
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it, Melissa! This is a great way to do chicken, and it's even good before you add the sauce. It definitely makes a killer sandwich. Surprised you haven't tried horseradish. You probably have, but just never knew it. Up my branch of the holler, it's the key ingredient in any good cocktail sauce, such as you'd use with a shrimp cocktail. It adds a nice little bite in a lot of dishes, and I even mix a little in with deviled eggs.

As always, im wishing i had some. That looks great. Btw as a brit, living next door to worcester, we pronounce it wuss-ter, and worcestershire, is wuss-ter-sher. Its uk wide, and not even a localism. But your pulled chicken does look so good.
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
It was excellent! You should give it a try. I think I probably pronounce Worcestershire a half dozen different ways, so you never know how it's going to come out. I even remember as a kid diligently pronouncing every syllable, wur-cess-tur-shyre, until I realized I was the only person on the planet doing it that way. LOL Thanks, as always!

Man, you make some of the best looking meals. I wanna eat at your house. :0) You've probably mentioned it in other videos, but where did you learn to cook like this? Cooking is very fun, and when you get to cook during a rain storm...... well, even better!
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
Haha! Thanks! I do like the challenge of making a meal look decent, and now and then I pull it off. I actually started learning when I was a kid. Cooking fascinated me, so my mom was teaching me the basics at 6 or so, and I was her "helper" by the time I was 9 or 10. When I moved into my own place in college, I didn't survive on ramen and hot dogs, because I knew what my kitchen was for. LOL I've kept learning ever since, because there's *always* something new to try, and hanging out with some of the great cooks here on KZbin I've learned *a lot*!

It's strange seeing people wearing my shirt design :) It looks like it turned out pretty well. Did you have any issues along the way ordering it? The chicken is unreal. It was hard watching this as I tried to reach into the screen many times for a taste test.
@Anonymoose9 жыл бұрын
I hope you didn't get too many greasy fingerprints on your screen. :-) The chicken came out amazingly well ! This was a first time for this recipe, and I'll definitely be doing it again. The shirt turned out great, and I'm really pleased with it. Ordering was straightforward and went without a hitch. I was pleased to see that they use PayPal, which makes transactions like this *so* much simpler. I ordered late on Saturday a week ago, and the shirt arrived this past Saturday. Couldn't ask for a better turnaround.
