OMG thank you sooooooooo much for this video! No one ever does cuban food - mostly people do Mexican food and think it is the only Spanish food in the world. Cuban food is my second fave food ever! So yummy and tasty and bursting with flavor (if you have it right). I lived in Miami for a lot of years so it was probably the best in the country (there are debates but...). Picadillo and croquettes (especially the jamon/ham ones) are my fave but I love all of the food (except I am not a big plaintain or tostones person). Ropa Vieja and Churrasco and Chicken Fricasse and Arrox Con Pollo are the best! Real Cuban places have a fricasse soup that is awesome! Plus the way Cuban restaurants prepare their rice is the best. And nothing beats a well made empanada, pastelito, pastella, and any of the sweet and/or savory "pastries". Just a delight! And the Cuban bread is amazing! The Cuban sandwich is what most people know about this wonderful food, and they are amazing (if done right), but there is so much food, whether you love meat, seafood, chicken, anything! I am not a coffee person, but my dad was OBSESSED with Cuban Coffee. He worked near Hialeah so he would get his cuban coffee fix everyday. He would get "doubles"! hehe

Love that little Cafe. Smokies Cuban Cafe. The Empanadas lot of varieties. Like Beef and cheese!!! Like Bobbie's Cuban Chicken tomato, lettuce, grilled chicken, cheese and onions. John's Cuban Sandwich pork, ham, pickles, mustard Swiss cheese. Love to taste the Yuca fries. Lot more starch than potato French fries you all said. The avocado ranch and garlic sauce sounds good. Love the way Cuban Bread looks. Topped off with the guava pastry for dessert. Never had guava. I would definitely get a few of those drinks in the fridge. Mandarin, Pineapple for sure.

Love cuban food, my favorite is the ropa vieja and most cuban places make the most delicious black beans youll ever have. Yucca frita is another fave of mine! Oh and my husband cannot turn down a guava cheese (basically cream cheese) pastry anytime we see them. Glad you guys enjoyed your meal!

I love fresh prepared Yucca. Whenever I go to Pupusa or Peruvian Chicken places I get them. Cuban Sandwich is a favorite. You cannot go wrong with empanadas. Nice video as usual, hope you and Bobbie have a great Thanksgiving with family and friends.

I've had tons of Cuban food (even in Cuba!) and Smokies is as good as any of them. It's also the best I've had in Tennessee. A real gem. The Cuban sandwich is the king of sandwiches in my opinion -- and they do a great one. As I recall, they have the bread flown in from famous La Segunda bakery in Tampa, Florida.

Cuban is some of my favorite food. Next time try the tostones and I prefer yuca in garlic sauce rather than yuca fries. It's a bit different but oh Soooo good! The restaurant looks good. I would venture to say that the Cuban bread is possibly not authentic. I have Cuban ancestry and was raised in South Florida. The Cuban bread in South Florida is much crispier even without being pressed. The beef in the empanada is the same as the Seasoned Beef aka Picadillo.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but your Cuban sandwich came up a little short on the meat, I've eaten authentic Cuban sandwiches and the ham, was thicker, the pork was a slice of pork also thicker and that looked like ground beef verses sliced beef, I'm from the Caribbean and my boyfriend was Cuban, the bread as someone said in here is flat ironed and it does come out crispier, again sorry for squashing some of the comments.
