The photo above is not a picture of the Armenian genocide, it is a picture from a very old film called “Ravished Armenia” the film was made in from 1919. The film “Ravished Armenia” is actually based on a memoir by Aurora Mardiganian, a survivor of the Armenian genocide who wrote about the atrocities she witnessed. According to her, the film’s depiction of Armenian women being crucified is incorrect. It didn’t happen that way. The girls were impaled on pointed wooden spikes through their vagina. I repeat: the Armenian women weren’t crucified, they were impaled. The film directors chose to depict this event as crucifixion instead because the true incident was considered un-filmable; the truth was much too violent and graphic, especially for a 1920’s audience

Akcam has my respect and is a man of honour. If Turkey would own their past and return Hayastan their sovereignty (Ani, Ararat and other illegally taken land), they would have my eternal respect.

+Arsen Darakdjian While I fully accept that the genocide happened, could you help me understand why a request for information without an accompanying reply would constitute a "smoking gun"? It would seem to me Akcam is setting himself up for more accusations of propaganda by presenting this as a proof. Am I missing something? cheers
