Awesome video as always Bill and Deb. I’ve been going to Cades Cove almost every summer since I was a kid and it’s always the best place to take a slow drive and relax and take a break. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.

most times I have a some idea of where you are when in Tennessee and Kentucky. In this case, my love for Cades Cove has brought me there many times. The back road area's are a treat and anyone can experience them. Prayers for the people of east Tennessee and western North Carolina. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thank you so much for this fantastic guide to the Smoky Mountains! I had no idea about some of these hidden spots like Cades Cove, Parsons Branch, and Rich Mountain Road until watching your video. Your insights are incredibly helpful and inspiring for both seasoned travelers and newcomers. Keep up the great work - looking forward to more hidden gems from you!

This year we took my wife's new 2024 sportage awd down Parson's Branch rd with no difficulties very nice drive. Rich mountain rd is a nice easy drive we did it for our first anniversary in our 63 1/2 Galaxie.

Your videos are so well done and as another poster mentioned; relaxing. Not sure if you made mention that Parson's Branch road is one way from Cades Cove to Tail of the Dragon. Although vehicles should be on the lookout for horseback riders coming the opposite way and yield to the horses. This is a nice exit from the Park to avoid the Cades Cove congestion that seems to start right after this turn off and more convenient for travel to the Bryson City area if you happen to be staying there. Can't remember but Rich Mtn might be one way too. Like another poster mentioned, I still have to go there for the bike day and you can rent bikes from the Cades Cove campground store. Thanks for making mention about using the pullouts to let the motorcycles pass. As a former rider, it was always a bummer and a challenge when slow vehicles don't use the pullouts to let the motorcycles pass.

That looks so beautiful & I hope to go there some day. Thanks for the video. I am planning a trip soon to the MABDR after spending a night or two in the Dark Sky area. I am looking forward to it. It will be my first off-road without Colin. I anticipate no technical areas since I'm not prepared for that in my stock Jeep. Again, thanks.

Yep, I really like heading through Cades Cove and onto the side 'trails'.... You're right, they aren't difficult. For me, I found the Tail of The Dragon to be the hardest part... It's just not the same kind of fun in a top-heavy overlanding rig as it is on a motorcycle or sports car. I knew about Rich Mountain Road... but if you aren't paying attention, you'll miss it (or it'll be closed like the first time I went looking for it).

Yep, It has been closed several times when we have been there.

east tn and wnc is in rough shape right now, might be a while before some of this is very accessible. Lots of closed interstates, roads, bridges, no fuel, , no cell service, very little power, and now the looting…. But this is a nice relaxing video to escape all the flood damage news

Chip, We will be camping in the booth. I'm not sure where the XGrid folks are setting up. You may want to reach out to Chris or Jeremy

If you don’t want the Cades Cove traffic jam, go on a Wednesday and bring your bike. They close the road off to motorized traffic.
