The damage of that attack also varies in battle for each (!) character (like Kid Goku being immune, Adult Goku losing a small amount of HP, and evil characters getting KOd instantly).

Here's an idea: in the canon Saiyan saga, Vegeta had Nappa use the last of his Saibamen seeds, but... Let's say there's a What-If where, when Bulma made the remote to control Nappa's pod, it didn't self-destruct, and instead redirected to Capsule Corp. Bulma goes over the interior, and finds another vial, mostly used up, but there's one bulb left. Maybe the fluid leaked and it dried out, or maybe it was ill-formed and wouldn't have properly sprouted, but it's there, lost in between the seat and the armrest, or something. Bulma learns what it is and how it's supposed to be used from Krillin (who saw the whole thing), and begins work on the bulb, and she and her father begin work recreating them, as the utility, if properly harnessed, can't be denied. Progress is slow initially, as their focus is on devising a ship for Namek, and Dr. Briefs would know better than to rush production when all of the Z-fighters are either off-world or dead, but when they all return, the work resumes. After a couple of years, during the three-year training arc, the work starts bearing fruit. Vegeta has returned for a short time, and Bulma keeps him on-hand just in case the Saibamen that sprout get unruly, as she knows he can deal with them, but due to their less-than-ideal source material and the attempts to bioengineer them to be more than chaos monkeys, they're not the same as before. They're not as aggressive, but more willful, lacking the innate instincts their initial creation allowed. Vegeta, at this point, has left Earth again, no longer caring about the new Saibamen; he's far surpassed the point where they could be useful, and this latest batch prove to be pale imitations anyway. However, a containment accident shortly thereafter results in a full batch released onto Capsule Corp, and despite their lack of aggression, they are still capable of mayhem and destruction, being no less tough or strong. Thankfully, as Goku and Piccolo are learning to drive at Chi-Chi's insistence, Gohan is visiting, and after being alerted to the emergency, begins rounding them up. However, unlike Vegeta, who would have had no compunction against simply culling the entire batch, Gohan's reluctance to harm living creatures has him doing something else entirely; he begins occupying them by playing simple children's games with them. The Saibamen, reacting in deference to the young demi-Saiyan, become engrossed, and slowly, Gohan begins socializing them when not training for the Androids, even going so far as to give them a new home in the fields and forests near his home. By the time the Cell Games roll around, the Saibamen batch see Gohan as their leader, and while the other Z-fighters tolerate them with a bit of wariness or irritation (as they STILL have moments where their mischievous nature wins over), Gohan has all but adopted them as surrogate little brothers. So, when the Cell Games start, and Gohan attends, the Saibamen tag along. The Games play out much like in canon, until Gohan's attempts to fight Cell. When Cell attempts to draw out Gohan's temper, his Cell Jrs. don't target the other Z-fighters, but the Saibamen. Having seen Gohan train, the Saibamen, mimicking their leader, attempt to fight, but are overwhelmed easily. Watching in horror as the Cell Jrs. sadistically tear apart the Saibamen one-by-one and turn their attention to the other Z-fighters, Gohan snaps, and unleashes his full wrath upon Cell.

15:00 Fun fact: I'm actually one of the few people who beat that Shin Budokai 2 ending where Dabura and Babidi are defeated without Majin Buu's revival. The secret trick to winning is to not fight. Let me repeat, DO NOT FIGHT. Amp up your allies and LET THEM DO THE FIGHTING while you help rebuild the cities and give your allies Senzu Beans. The reason why people keep losing this stage is because the player's fights take too long. You will never be fast enough to win that way. The time limit is very strict in this level and if you take too long with unnecessary fights, Future Gohan and Pikkon will have to go back to Other World leaving Trunks to perish. So if there's anyone who wants to know how to beat that level, this is how. Again I can't stress this enough, DO NOT FIGHT. If you fight, its game over. Wait until you have the necessary upgrades to strengthen your allies and they'll take care of the rest.

Fun fact about the King Piccolo bit from the Piccolo What If: If you have Piccolo Jr. and Piccolo Sr. fight in the Tenkaichi games, King Piccolo will try to persuade his son into merging as one in order to gain true power. Piccolo naturally refuses.

I love this format, I'd like to see more What If's covered like this. On from Sparking Zero I like is Trunks joining the Tournament of power (even if I wish he replaced Tien or Roshi on the team instead of Frieza, just to get the dynamic of Frieza having to work with the Saiyan that killed him). Both versions of it are good, but I prefer the staying with Gohan route just to finally get to see Trunks team up with the Androids (hence why I also wanted Frieza there. One Xenoverse 2 one that stands out to me is Xeno Trunks going back and saving Future Gohan, basically saying screw it to his whole job. My main issue with it is that the game moves on as if nothing had happening afterwarda, making it pointless. Then there's Budokai 1 that had a whole special Mode where you play as Mr. Satans and have to beat the strongest version of every fighter at the Cell games (and I think you unlock Great Saiyaman by doing that).

There is a unit in Dokkan Battle [Unity Born in Another World]"Trunks an Broly". They even have their own OST! Apparently there is actual backstory in Quest mode about Z-Fighters teaming up with Raditz, Nappa, Paragus and Broly to defeat Hatchiak. Also there are plenty of characters that have unique animations: Grandpa Gohan and Pan Paikon and Dabura Goku jr and Vegeta jr together!? Beast Gohan and Orange Piccolo shooting double Special Beam Cannon like in Xenoverse 2! Also Beast Gohan can punch through enemies with animation which references his fight with Bojack. (Which reminds that Bojack has a whole new unique ultimate in Sparking Zero now) Also you can destroy whole Earth when playing Cell Max, etc.

Here is a video idea via a question: Just how strong should these characters actually be? The scaling in Super just doesn't make any sense at all. Everyone just doesn't feel like they are at the right amount of power. I'll put my two cents in the reply section for this from what I have seen and thought.

To begin, going to give an explanation on how I judge the scaling of how powerful these characters should be with two main points: The training environment and who is with them. The environment plays a factor into this and to give an example of it is in the Saiyan Saga, leading up to the battle with Nappa and Vegeta. The fight with Raditz had Goku and Piccolo being roughly around the same range of power, with the humans being below, but not by much. Leading up to it, everyone on Earth was constantly training while Goku took time to reach King Kai's planet, so Goku had less time to train. But due to the harsher gravity, Goku was much stronger than any other Z-Fighters. This is also seen with Goku's week of training to Namek and the Hyperbolic Time Chamber were all harsh environments that allowed him to grow much stronger. Now the second part, who is with them. This is based on having someone to train with or train you. We see examples of this in Super leading to the Universe 6 tournament, where Vegeta states that having Goku to spare with enables him to become stronger faster than on his own. And Goku and Gohan being stronger than Vegeta and Future Trunks after the Time Chamber, which they were in for less time and spent it unlocking Super Saiyan for Gohan, they trained together over Vegeta training mostly alone. Having a training partner makes the training better. And who is offering the training plays a part as well, scene with Goku's training with Master Roshi allowed him and Krillin to surpass Yamcha in power, and Vegeta got better than Goku while training with Whis. With those two points said, I am going to point out current ranges of power and problems at different points, stating how strong they should be in comparison to each other. Bringing up key characters at certain points. Starting with the Buu Saga, at the point before Buu is released, it is Goku being the strongest, then Vegeta, and there is an argument on Piccolo and Gohan being after that. Goku trained the entire time, while Vegeta doesn't have as much heart into his training without a rival. Piccolo is catching up and Gohan does no real training, actually falling off with it. So, Gohan can be argued the weakest at this point. In Battle of Gods, there is an argument of Vegeta being the strongest in base form due to training more often and better condition that Goku since Goku was working. They would have surpassed Gohan since once again, he doesn't train. Piccolo would be working on surpassing Gohan, and Gotenks might be stronger than Ultimate Gohan, but hard to say. Goten and Trunks wouldn't be training as much, but fusing grants a massive power boost that could lead to them surpassing Ultimate Gohan. Then Goku and Vegeta become way more powerful with the base power increase of their God form and training with Whis. Now, Resurrection F arc, and this is going to anger people. Gohan is the weakest, Piccolo and Gotenks have surpassed him and could be argued on which is stronger, Vegeta is the strongest with Goku after. And Frieza...would be weaker than Gohan. Okay, Gohan weakest. Gohan lost his Ultimate form, so his power drops a lot, going to the point before he got it, especially since he doesn't train as hard and often. He has gone soft. Piccolo would be argued stronger than Gotenks since unlike the fused fighter, he is training and working hard on surpassing himself. Frieza should not be this powerful, at all. It has been almost 15 years since he got revived, and everyone has surpassed him by leagues, even Yamcha. 4 months of training would not get him to match base form Goku without his gold form. At best, I could see Golden Frieza being a threat to Gohan, but not Piccolo and Gotenks. Am I supposed to believe that after being gone for 15-ish years and with four months of training, he is stronger than Goku and Vegeta who have gotten 4 new forms, the massive boost in power that god ki gave them, and training all that time, with Whis as well?! And Vegeta is stronger since he trained with Whis longer, and Goku hasn't used the Kaio-Ken yet, so Vegeta being the strongest works. Universe 6 tournament, how is Cabba that powerful? He is matching Base Vegeta who has the boost in power from the god form, training with Whis, and 3 years of training with Goku. Cabba also has an army of Saiyans to fight alongside with would not be that strong, especially with Vegeta who pushes himself to fight alone. Goku Black arc...and how is Goku Black and Future Trunks this powerful? Future Trunks would easily be stronger than Super Saiyan 2 Gohan during the Cell Games, but not as strong as Super Saiyan 3 Goku was during Buu. And Goku Black being able to handle Goku and Vegeta so well in their round 2 fight in the future. Super Saiyan Rose being stronger than Blue, I can see that. But how could Super Saiyan Rage Future Trunks surpass the god forms' power? And Vegito would easily defeat Fused Zamasu since Zamasu is barely strong enough to handle a Super Saiyan 2. Actually, thinking on it, both Goku Black and Zamasu were able to fight Super Saiyan Goku without a transformation, so, wouldn't Base Goku and Vegeta be weaker as base Vegito than Fused Zamasu would be? Now, Tournament of Power is where a lot of problems rise. Gohan...my god Gohan. He is no where, and I mean no where near as powerful as Goku, his training with Piccolo for the Tournament of Power was just to regain his Ultimate Form and regain his combat senses and skills. 17 has no possible way of fighting Super Saiyan Blue Goku to an even point. And Frieza only got control over his Golden Form while Goku has had a lot of training, years in the Chamber too, to get far stronger. 17 had no one to train with, no environment to push himself, at best, he is around Gohan's power at the end of the Cell Games. With Goku's extreme power boost and all of his training, his base form would be stronger than Ultimate Gohan. Piccolo would easily be the third strongest member of Universe 7 in the Tournament of Power, with Gohan below him, than Frieza, 18 since she had Krillin to train with, hard to place 17, Tien, and Krillin but Krillin being stronger than Tien since he had 18 to train with, and Master Roshi being the weakest since he let the others grow stronger, seen in the 22nd Martial Arts Tournament. Kale makes no sense since she goes to being stronger than Super Saiyan Blue Goku to weaker than Super Saiyan 2 Goku. Though, I will say, in the manga, it makes sense that Ultimate Gohan would be equal in power to a fused Legendary Super Saiyan 2. Though, Kefla should not be anywhere near as powerful as Goku. I'd say the next arcs would be Moro, Broly, Granola, and then Super Hero in that order. Moro takes place almost exactly at the end of the Tournament of Power, Frieza didn't have his Black Form in Broly, and Super Hero is a time skip. No problem in Moro. Frieza should not be able to survive Broly at all. Granola, Frieza training in that Time Chamber to surpass Goku and Vegeta makes sense. And the argument on Goku and Vegeta surpassing Broly makes sense with how close in power Granola and Gas were after their wishes. Now Super Hero, and more hate. Gohan is no where near as strong as he seems, Beast Form is such a bad thing and I can't figure out how it rivals Goku and Vegeta's power since Gohan shouldn't even be around god powered base form Goku and Vegeta at this point. If Gamma 1 and 2 were as powerful as they said they were, rivaling Goku and Vegeta, no way Piccolo and Gohan would survive at all, they would be far too outclassed. Piccolo...actually makes sense for being around Goku and Vegeta's league of power. He is always training, and the wish to unlock his potential has different points to bring up. Unlocking the potential of Nail, and then the arguments for unlocking Kami, Piccolo, Demon King Piccolo, and/or their original self. Then Shenron granting him something extra, and potentially the power that Kami gave Shenron upon making him returning to him since Dende powered Shenron up. Gohan suddenly unlocking a transformation that rivals and surpasses Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta just doesn't make any sense to me. If you argue these points, go ahead and explain what you think is the correct scaling should be or I am wrong for overlooking something. With my point being said, bringing up how to correctly power everyone up in my opinion in the reply to his.

My thoughts on how to increase everyone's power to a point it makes sense and what level they should be at. Golden Frieza's power increase - his four months should be spent training in the Time Chamber used in the Moro Arc. It grants him plenty of time to train and an environment to do so. While the time range still doesn't work in my opinion, it is the best explanation for how Frieza could catch up to Goku and Vegeta. Gohan - after Resurrection F, Gohan gets Super Saiyan God, granting him a massive boost in power. And in Super Hero, Gohan combining his Ultimate Form and God Form to become Beast would be the best way to explain how he is that powerful. Piccolo - just having Gohan with the God Form would grant him a stronger training partner. 17 and 18 - Surpassed Super Saiyan 2 Gohan before he got Ultimate is me being generous. Future Trunks - Go more into detail his time with the Supreme Kai in his timeline, build up that and turn his Super Saiyan Rage into a variation of a Kai and Super Saiyan form. It would meld so well with the God and Saiyan power that Black is using. Goku Black - show him fighting in other timelines, getting Zenkai boosts and other things to explain why he is so powerful.

Android Saga also did not make sense when you think about it, Gero got androids who are easily stronger than Freeza without even having data on Freeza while building them. And he did that using tech from Earth that was less advanced than the Freeza Empire.

@@Another_Hibiki It is hard to say if Earth had less advance tech given how Mecha Freeza looked, and that is a fair point. I just went with the mindset that his data collecting machines got more data and worked on upgrading the Androids.

@enanomalley9986 Only the machines for Cell creation that were working for Gero's lab AI gathered data from Mecha Freeza events and after, but Gero and Android 19 stated that they didn't had data from Namek or after, thinking it was unnecessary, that being the reason why Super Saiyans surprise them so much (16, 17 and 18 also seemingly were left untouched for some years before Android/Cell Saga).
