I want to point out, cause In a lot of crazy dmc videos people talk about not being NEARLY as good, and occasionally they get shit for it, being called bad and such. I’ve been playing dmc almost my entire life. Dmc3 was one of my first ever video games ( I was 4 ) and to this day is still my favorite. That being said TO THIS DAY on any dmc game I get my ass handed to me on Dante must die and my highest bloody palace in 5 is 74. With Dante. Haven’t even attempted Nero or v. I can get really comfortable with a few weapons and combos, but utilizing most of any characters Arsenal is just insane to me. I play basically sword master only. Switching styles on the fly, and memorizing most combos for all weapons but also how to chain them, it’s no easy task. So anyway, if you feel bad that you can’t play like this, don’t. I can’t either and I’ve been playing for 15 years.

I think getting good with royal guard is the key with Dante can block pretty much all damage and cause massive damage too. Also he has so many attacks with different weapons its insane to learn it all. Also this guy REALLY knows how to fight vergil with dante those royal guards were sick.

This is some INCREDIBLY slick work! Honestly some of the most fun I've had watching Dante play in awhile. I do have a question: You seem to be cancelling out of Cerberus revolver technique in midair to continue your air combo. Are you enemy hopping off the enemy mid animation to do that, or is there some other trick that I'm missing to pull that off? I've been able to learn a lot of the stuff here but that and I'm extremely curious!

After struggleing with cerberus as dante i made my way up there to urizen in one run. then i was supprised that the fight would go without pause between forms. its was exiting and yet a bit horrifieing, because i never learned any of his moves so i had to improvise a lot. eventually i beat his forms on my first try, and i felt like i actually defeated someone big (its not easy defeating a boss with 3 healthbars and devastating moves if you are uncareing)... vergil though is another story.

Bloody Palace is so hard, but with Dante and dr. Faust (and Royal Guard against those Furies), it's really doable even for casual players out there, I think only Urizen and Cerberus that managed to survive a fully charged Red Hot Night

Perfect storm of circumstances: just about the right parents, the right environment, the right opportunities... somewhere among those is likely training as well. It sometimes makes one wonder if a channel is a group of people specializing in the specific games. It also wouldn't be surprising if one or a group of people are able to use 3rd party software on consoles like the PS4 to slow the game down (ala Cheat Engine for PC or the likes, that are able to slow down games like Dark Souls and Sekiro, known as speed hacking), then proceed to edit the video and audio into normal speed. Might not exactly matter as long as the videos are entertaining and fun to watch for the majority. I don't think the SmvR channel does this though.

I'm too late but start tapping circle/B (swordmaster action) straight after stinger connects to hitstun the enemy instead of allowing them to get launched away from you. That way you can continue a combo without having to catch up to the enemy again, and it's a great distance closer
