So proud of your truth and strength Angie. Like you, I went through divorce and I don’t wish it upon anyone, including my worst enemy! Divorce is painful in a different way, it hurts every day and has no closure.

What amazing perspectives....Coming from someone who has gone through the full circle of marriage. From the vows to death actually doing you apart. You have gone through the whole thing and can tell all the pitfalls that are present in this institution called marriage. As a married person, listening to you I'm like I wish I listened to this before I got into it. Anyone wishing/planning to get married, listen carefully to what Angie is saying, this institution could either make you or completely break you. TREAD CAREFULLY!!!!!

On the issue of calling out issues, he hated it so much I ended up keeping quiet, that’s why he still doesn’t believe I plucked up the courage to leave! He refers to our divorce as a mystery 😂😂😂 because we didn’t fight and no one knew what I was going through until I was out. Everyone around us was shocked, but it surely can’t be a mystery to him 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽

I heard God completely letting me free. I had same walk as you but distance is already there when one of you does not engage in the dance of marriage

I think people just have to cultivate friendships before being romantically involved with someone ... it'll save you from alot of unnecessary emotions ... i feel like God desires that for this generation so lets go back to the basics ..im sure single parenthood is hard and mental but let that not drive her to choose any random man that would want her ...

Friendship coupled with discernment is key...and thank you for watching and leaving a feedback!
@vionnenyanjom
@vionnenyanjom 21 күн бұрын
So do you believe all marriages that ended in divorce did not start from "cultivated friendships"? Marriage is a spiritual issue and should be approached with spiritual intelligence. Knowledge of the word of God will lead us to certainty. When we say things like "I feel like God desires" we enter into error. Because all that God desires is WRITTEN and not left to our feelings and emotions.

Dear Angie, You have pure heart; I like how you love God how much you want to know Him and how you are allowing the Holy Spirit to TRANSFORM YOU and show you who God is. I pray He continues to lead you int ALL TRUTH. God love you. I know because He keeps wanting to give you what you need...You are learning the scripture but you need to enter into the revelation of it. These verses that you quote are a realm, a place that you need to get into, have an encounter with so that the word will come alive in you/your life. Please check the people you hang around, what you watch, hear and do -is it all centered in Christ or just the idea of Him? because I can tell that the word is entering but it is being chocked by ideologies, a mindset, a thought process that has become a stronghold...Mark 4:18-20 King James Version (KJV)And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful. Let me continue on a different comment

About submission, Ephesians 5:21 dosn't refer to marriage but V1 to 20. Where it's church brethren submitting to each other.
@AngieObwaka
@AngieObwaka 28 күн бұрын
Scripture is not read in isolation. V21 onwards narrows down the broader dynamics of Christian relationships into marriage but does not supercede or negate the broader context that Paul was teaching. Mutual submission is for the entire body of Christ as priary or foundational and then on top of that, in the dynamic of marriage, yes the invitation and directive is for wives to specifically submit to their husbands.

Yes yes - correct! To the fatherless he is a father. To the widow he is a champion friend. The lonely he makes part of a family. The prisoners he leads into prosperity until they sing for joy. - Psalm 68:5-6

I have never understood the term ...we bless God it confuses
@AngieObwaka
@AngieObwaka 28 күн бұрын
It simply means we give God praise and honor. This is a different sentiment from us seeking God's blessings where that term 'bless' means to show favor, kindness, goodness etc to the person/situation. So we as human beings can't (or don't have the power to) do the second kind of blessing because God is God - but He too doesn't do the other one because He alone is worthy of our praise.

I have heard everything that was wrong with this lady's partner(s)/ex-es, but I have not heard what was wrong with her. Were they the head or was she? Does she know the meaning of submitting? She needs to take responsibility for the things she did wrong as well.

Hey! Thanks for your feedback. If you watched through the entire video, there are many places I indicated what I could have and should have done differently - before and during the marriage. And Yes, I completely understand the Biblical instruction and way to submit :)

I read somewhere that how come generally, its women who believe they are the ones upright? Men are a forever wotk in progress, while the female brands herself as this complete picture that can be put in a museum to ise as an example of perfection to generations. I don't think this is healthy n especially for ladies raising sons, what will u be guiding ur son towards? In ur next session r u able to bring a more neutral person who can help people understand how to even help themselves as they internalise these conversations. I'd also wish if she could have at least touched on what she believes she could have contributed into the demise of the marriage.

Thank you for watching and for your feedback. This was actually a continuing conversation from a previous episode we did together where she shared alot more on some of the things she would have done better looking back in that episode. I don’t think you watched the full episode. Because she clearly states what she could have done differently from before they got married to even while they were married. It is so difficult for people to share their stories - you are interpreting it based on your own biases and conclusions. Perhaps YOU should be more neutral in your analysis.
@naxiz_kenya2805

@murugimunyi2734 perhaps u r right I may have to look through it again. I am training to do this for a leaving, n I am aware how hard it is for anyone to open up. Am currently listening to Dr Obwaka n I've leant alot on how she handles them cases. In a generation where we have an extremely worrying population of damaged men, so very many of whom r readily combative even at nothing, trust me it can help to give such perspective. That's y I said if it's possible next time to get someone who is in a position to decipher some things in a way that the gender muscles don't feel triggered. But yes u r right I have to do a remix on this. Thanks though.

Wow I expect the ideals of a Christian platform would be scriptural...I am led to wonder about a few things when you say "Being born again is not it. there has to be other things that make who that person is" what is your definition of "born again"? Romantic, kissing, girlfriend, dating are they scriptural? This "love" we talk about, what really is it?🤔

Unfortunately not ,whereas it is true you shouldn't be unequally yoked ,there are nuances to relationships social backgrounds ,character traits ,personality, finances etc you cannot simply conclude that every born again person would be suitable for you, I think you have seen pastors divorce cheat etc

@@victorianamugambe5545 That is it Victoria. Do not conclude onhour own understanding. Seek the will of God for your life because the heart of man is desperately wicked. Because what would you have said to Hosea regarding marriage?

The title 'Pastor' doesn't mean you are in the will of God automatically. Even pastors especially pastors are deceived by the desires of their own flesh exalted above the will of God.
