I remember these from back in the 70's when I was a kid. I once saw famous strongman Geoff Capes with his family on them :-) The snails are iconic. They were on 'Have I got news for you' when a prospective MP for Yarmouth was being interviewed while riding on a snail. Paul Merton said,'' I've been to Yarmouth, and I've been on the Snail ride''.

It has changed in the past 5 years tho, half the stuff is run down and doesn't work, I went on it a few weeks back for old time sake and half the stuff was gone, the Alice in wonderland room at the end is completely gone, it's now a dark room with no lights and it's just eery, no music either in the last bit, it's much worse, nothing has been added, only removed

I'm guessing the snails had to move from. Pleasure beach to joy land or was there two sets of snail rides. I can only remember the ones at joy land. N I use to live there as a kid
