I really appreciate the work you are doing to keep Mr. Moy's work alive. Another great vid.

Thanks, Kevin! That was great. I think that pivoting your front heel a bit, helped with going lower on the snake. Pivoting your front foot when you go up to do the cockerel is tricky though, but we'll keep practising. By the way, I live very close to Stonehenge! :-D

Hi Ethan Great to hear from you! We thought Stonehenge would make a fun backdrop, LOL. You are right, getting that front foot to pivot out can be tricky, but it is necessary to get the 45 degree angle to stand up on. It also helps in stretching and opening up the hip joint. Going into the snake creeps low with the front heel pivot puts the feet at two 45 degree angles just like the snake exercise ( total of 90 degrees between the feet) and helps to stabilize the sit. Do you do snake exercises in class? Lots of those go along ways in building strength and flexibility in the hips and legs. Cheers

Excellent demonstration - thank you! Where can I find the "snake exercises"?

Hi Rosemary, Have you asked your instructor to show you snakes? They should be able to get you started with them. Unfortunately, we haven't done a snake exercise video yet. The "Foundation Exercises" video shows the basics and is geared for beginners. We are planning a more advanced series which would include snakes as well as other exercises but it's not ready yet. Can we put you on the list for it when it is ready to go? If so, send us an email. Cheers
