Hi, I'm Karla Blomberg and proudly serve as the volunteer president of Wishes & More and I'm "the Lady" in the video who 'doesn't like snakes.' I didn't think about doing it - I just did it because I knew that Maddie would love it and she did . I knew that my minutes of discomfort would be a lasting memory for her and it was worth it. Emily, thank you, thank you and thank you again from me, from Maddie and from Wishes & More. Doug you're a superstar and thanks to everyone who has commented with such kind words. I tootally agree with you on loving how snakes feel, it's kinda like an adorable, moving weighted blanket. I wish I could get one but they only allow native reptiles as pets where I live and all our native snakes are really venomous, so unfortunately I can't.

My daughter actually just got her Make A Wish granted. She wanted a bunny. His name is Donut & he is the sweetest thing! She takes such great care of him! Organizations like Make A Wish & Wishes & More make our kiddos so happy! My daughter has had a life of heart surgeries, procedures, pokes & prods, & her Donut has made her the happiest kid! Us parents are so incredibly grateful & thankful! To Emily, my Emma loves your channel! My kiddos now want reptiles galore! 🤣🤣

That was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. It touches my heart knowing that children that were conned like that (IE; Genetics, disease, etc.) are able to see their dreams come true before they take that trip to heaven. It is truly amazing how people can do so much for certain people (Ones with terminal illness, mental illness, etc.) Even though this was not enough to fully restore my faith in humanity (In fact, i outright despise it due to the bad people who ruin it for everyone), but it was more than enough to warm my cold heart. If she didn't like.snakes, I can only assume that means she probably didn't handle them on a daily basis or EVER for that matter! She opened that basket and plunged in as if she were doing nothing scarier than....kneading Doughboy something!! My hats is off to her!! I am smiling so hard my freakin' FACE hurts! That was so good of y'all to do that; it was truly amazing. I kept seeing myself in those little girls; the very first snake I ever held was an extremely nice ball python that the local snake zoo, the Panama City Beach Snakeatorium, brought to our gradeschool when I was in first grade. I was the first kid to ask to hold one that day and if I could've kept that python I would have! Now I have three of my own, plus other reptiles; but I've never forgotten the weight and soft, smooth feeling of that beautiful snake. Thank you for giving that experience to others (and for waking a few adults up too!)

I love how Emily came to to the stage when called and just casually popped Doug onto her shoulders and walked off and that good noodle Doug turned to her and was like "Mom!!" Also the way Doug was staring and trying to get cuddles from Emily when she put him in the basket. "Mom why da heck I'm in here? You doin' me a confuse!" You can tell the way he is with Emily and Ed, and how most of the other animals they own are as well, that Emily and Ed are loving, caring and attentive. Definitely one of my favorite channels on here 🥰🐍🐊🐢🦎

I'll never understand why parents refuse certain pets to kids. I was never one of those kids until I wanted to get pet rats since I've always adored animals. I'm sure if I had asked for a macaw my mother would've let me, but rats were out of the question. Recently I was given the chance to get 2 and I did. Before getting them, I was depressed and wouldn't leave my room besides to use the bathroom and go to school every couple of days. My physical health and mental health was shocking, but after I got them I improved significantly. My mother fell in love with them and actively tries to convince me to get more (I currently have 5). People are scared of what they don't understand. Anyone and everyone can get over a fear, some just aren't willing to do it.
