Coach are you going to any of the seminars this year in Wigan area of UK? Scientific Wrestling is putting a few on I'm told. I'm thinking of flying over from Ireland. Great content as usual 👊

No, we have zero ties to them, with a very different take on Submissions and Pins. We do not train for pin falls, and we do every choke imaginable. Our pinning is used in our program to create absolute misery, control and force reactions and entanglements. Just a different take on things, with a few other lineages. We were encouraged to start this and endorsed by Billy Robinson who embraced the thought of the Snake Pit name used here in the U.S. many years ago. He even did our first Seminar himself. However, I will be in Halifax, Yorkshire U.K. for a seminar, 20 Jan, 2024 at Game Fight Halifax on the way back from a scheduled two-day International Catch Wrestling Federation Camp in Germany 13-14 January, 2024 in Remscheid. Hosted by SC International Street Combatives. Hope to see you In the U.K.🇬🇧 - Best regards, J. Bane

As someone who has recently become really interested in catch wrestling I’m still a little confused about 1 thing. I know this is an older video but hopefully someone sees this and can answer haha. How are there techniques from positions like side control and such in catch if a match ends in a pin? I’ve seen a few different double wrist lock variations and other holds/subs where they hold the opponent down on both shoulders but I thought the match would be over at that point? I can understand a technique such as the one in the video existing but does this on,y count if you hit it immediately upon being out on your back? I’m asking from a pure CACC perspective not Catch in BJJ.

You’re simply confusing Sport 1905 Catch Wrestling w/pins, with the actual Art of Catch Wrestling. Original Catch Wrestling had No pins and crazy as it sounds, old Greco actually had Submissions. 👍🏻 At Snake Pit USA we teach and embrace the Art not the sport. Sure we’ve done some fun shows for old times sake but that’s the only reason. Just a historical good time. Hope that answers your question. Have a great weekend! 🙏🏻 - J. Bane
