My mum had a paj in the early 90s and one of her favourite things to do was go to the local boat ramp and pull out patrols and cruisers that got stuck trying to pull boats out lol

Hi Bia awesome video and info. Great to see you exploring on your own. Hope that you get another chance to explore the top end soon. Remember its not about the destination but more about the journey Imo. The burger and chips looked delicious and the location, well I would have stayed a few nights as well. 👏👏

100% agree it's about the journey and I'm so glad I got to experience an amazing location. And 10/10 best burger I've had in a long time, I would go back there just for the burger haha

Yeah the Paj!! Surprised at how well they do with a lift and some decent tyres. Any time i put it in 4wd i turn off the stability control, i found that was the one thing that would stop me getting anywhere with wheels in the air. Looks like youre having an awesome time! Glad i came across the channel

Thabk you, and my lift came in handy so much this trip there was a few times I was gritting my teeth waiting for a bang on the bash plate. But with the lift I got that little bit extra clearance and didn't hit the bash plate once. Unfortunately I did have stability control off, it just didn't help that I had 2 wheels in the air most of the time

For the 79 Series either winch or static rope pull. Snatch strap is no good with the suction. The lad's ego finally got the better of them and let a girl help!

Yeah for sure the snach was never gonna work and that's why I offered my car as a 2nd anchor point to winch. It was suctioned down good

😂yeah it's good to go out with mates, when I'm out on a solo trip 4wd I tend to stick to the easier stuff just incase something happens. But I do also love the freedom of going out alone as I don't have to wait around for other people to get ready and I can go and do exactly what I want and I don't have to run it buy someone first haha

Not nit picking here but I’m surprised the paj wouldn’t go through those whoops. The TC, with no lockers on other than LLc selected should have walked that?
@bia4x4
@bia4x4 11 ай бұрын
It would go up fine but when u have wheel lifts at the front and the rear, you essentially don't have any wheel drive as all the power goes to the 2 tyres that are in the air no matter if your in llc or not.if my rear 2 tyres had traction I would have had no problems. The only way to stop it is a locker, or to drive with enough speed the momentum would just keep u going, but I didn't want to send it to hard incase I broke something as I was alone and miles away from any help

@@bia4x4 interesting. I find my Paj’s TC will brake the wheels in the air hard enough that with only 2 wheels on the ground it’ll move forward, without requiring momentum. Granted it’s not a crawl like with twin lockers but still slow enough to not be too violent. There’s that video on KZbin of a paj trying a knarly climb with rear locker on or rear locker off. With just TC it gets through it

Hi Bia, loved the video. But did wanna say one thing regarding this comment too. I own 3 pajeros myself and your car would have walked up that section you needed the winch for. Pretty much saying what @mikewasowski1411 was saying, our pajeros (including yours) have this awesome traction control system that lets them walk through stuff like that. I noticed you didn't give yours a chance to activate! Next time you start lifting, just stay on the throttle and the car will start to work its magic it doesn't happen instantly and it also might make a strange noise, this is normal. It's one of the things that makes these cars so great:))))
