Hi Mike! Fantastic footage yours. I love your pictures, they are really good. By the way, when I'm in the car, usually I use a camouflage net, or sheet, for covering the windows. In this way birds are less worried because they can't see me, giving me the chance to get much photos. Take care!!

Lovely video and inflight series Mike! I've only seen a pair Red Grouse once, also on the Yorkshire Dales. I was over from Canada visiting my sister-in-law. Hopefully I'll get back again some day. As always thank you for your informative photography videos.

Great video Mike. Like the flight shots, back in September 2020 up above Rose Dale in northYorkshire I got my one and only shots of Red grouse, I had the Olympus with 12 - 40 lens on and got some good shoots . Thanks for sharing.

Thank you once again for sharing your knowledge and fieldcraft. I am going to make a determined effort to drive over to the Yorkshire Dales National Park next year and have February/March marked in my diary to search out this or similar location. Top!

What a great place providing these lovely opportunities. And amazing what modern camera's are capable off (I'll presume you were using eye-tracking)? Really nice flight shots.

Yes the bird tracking was on.

stunning and what a success with the grouse in flight and in the snow. With 17.9k subscribers I think a calendar with your favourate shots would sell very well if marketed accordingly. Not that i'm a marketing expert 🙂

Andrew I can see another question from you on YT, but can only read the first few words and there is no option to reply. Common problem on YT. It says "Hi Mike. I enjoy your videos, your energy and skills. Do you contribute stock" and stops. Yes I contribute to stock agencies if that is the question.
@andrewbalcombe1338 Жыл бұрын
@@MikeLaneFRPS Hi Mike, thanks for taking the time to reply and answer my questions. yes, the 2nd was whether you contributed footage to the stock agencies. I think your wildlife videos would do well. All the best from the Netherlands and thanks for your great videos and the hard work you put into them. AB

Another enjoyable video with some excellent images . Do you still mainly use Wide AF , priority set AF-C AF , AF tracking sensitivity 1 for your birds in flight Mike ? presume you shoot wide open with the 200-600
@MikeLaneFRPS2 жыл бұрын
Very rare to close down the Sony lens and yes wide AF, CF, AF tracking sensitivity to minus whatever the maximun is. I forget and the camera is downstairs., but minus because it should then stay on the subject it is locked onto.

This weekends film was to be about the OM-1, but a last minute technical issue prevented it. Hopefully next weekend I will see it released.
