3:10 there is also something called "sliding genioplasty" where the surgeon cuts through the bone and moves the chin bone forward, then fixes it with screws and after around 6-7 months the bones will have grown together again and these screws can be removed again. There are pros & cons for both surgeries (implant & sliding genioplasty) here are the biggest cons of each: Chin Implant -> possibility of bone resorption Sliding genioplasty -> possibility of permanent numbness in lower teeth/gums and in rare cases even lower lip

Chin 8mplant is a pretty easy surgery/recovery. I have one and it was a breeze. Still looks great 10 years later.

so I had 2 vials of Kybella under my chin and I felt like it left me with more laxity of the skin, so therefore made my jawline worse. Thinking of doing a non-invasive skin tightening treatment. I actually just did the radio frequency microneedling on my face for acne scars. Love all of this lol

Thank you that was so interesting! There's oh so much I don't know and I had the neck threads and jaw and chin fillers almost a year ago. Love the threads affect but the fillers didn't made enough difference and seem to dissolve fast when suppose to create volume (my nasal ones last over 5 years now). There are so many options it gets overwhelming. I would love to know more about non surgical skin tightening.

I saw online that there is a chin surgery that involves cutting the tip of the chin and screwing it back at a different angle, depending if you need to make it more or leas prominent. Is that something only certain doctors do for special circumstances?

Yeah it’s because you’re slim, you don’t have enough facial and neck fat so it ages rapidly.

I had 2 rounds of kybella in my submental region. Its burns like a son of a bitch. Not going to lie. I think there were 20 total injections. Its a very sensitive area. The swelling was intense. Happens immediately after and slowly went back down. (I believe it was by week 3 that I started to see results.) I looked like a bull frog both times. Lol. Was embarrassed to go to work and the store. Bur i did get results. It did melt some of the fat. However i do feel my skin in this area is more lax now from being stretched out so much due to the swelling. Not happy about that.

I was planning on getting my first plastic surgery ever but im a bit concerned I asked the person who was making my appointment if once you get your chin,jawline and rhinoplasty done if you'll have to do any touch up and she said no which honestly I find hard to believe im saving up and trying to find a great surgeon that wont screw up my face I was told before the surgery they show you what the results would look like before the surgery which is extremely important i honestly love my face I simply wanted to do a few touch up to make a few things more defined detailed and pronounced but I honestly don't want to find a surgeon that screws my face up infact I may not even get anything done if I read the reviews on the surgeon and see several bad reviews I wanted to do the non surgical rhinoplasty but the registry kept saying I may not be a candidate when she hadn't even seen me and I feel as though it was to try and pressure me into doing the full surgical rhinoplasty instead of the non surgical procedure im definitely going to take my time and be careful with finding the best plastic surgeon

Why would you need to do a touch up for a rhinoplasty and chin implant, etc? Unless your surgery was botched. There should never be a need to redo those types of surgery.

I always had a “swan neck” and very sharp jaw and chin. Even as I matured as an adult over decades, I kept a nice smooth neck. Just last year, age happened suddenly. My chin became lax underneath, some jowls happened, and skin on neck looks thin and corded. Wondering if age and skin sagging will work with kybella, or lipo? Because it’s not due to fat, I don’t think? (PS I really appreciate your videos, Dr Motykie!)

People who don’t have much facial fat will age rapidly and all of a sudden. Facial volume loss and sagging starts around age 45. Facial fat becomes precious in middle age, as it keeps you youthful looking.

That's too much. Facial procedures can be combined, but all the other stuff you want done should really be done separately.

I’m not a very naturally thick person but I’ve always had a chubbier face and have sort of an annoying double chin, so I did coolsculpting on it last year and it did NOTHING. So I’m scared to even try the kybella thing and go through swelling and everything for it to not work as well. Ugh 😓

Thank you so much for this video! I got 1.5 vials of kybella about two years ago and it was a horrible experience. For what it was worth, I should have just saved for lipo. Would you recommend someone be at their ideal weight before getting chin lipo? Would it make the results look better? I am currently in the process of losing the last 30lb but I know that at least a bit of the fullness of my chin is genetic. I have been putting off getting chin augmentation because I want to have the best chance of having the best results, and I've heard that you should be at or close to your ideal weight before getting the surgery.

Thank you for such an informative video. I heard about something innovated by a British orthodontist. Dr Michael Mew. It's called ~~~ Mewing, are you shocked? :) I started "Mewing" 3 years ago, it's gradual, takes awhile. I saw a difference starting after 3 months of Mewing. It's simple, just pressing the tongue to the upper palate or roof of the mouth. When I'm doing things such as walking on a treadmill, driving or even sleeping, I trained myself to Mew. Go ahead, laugh, make fun, I did!..............at first. The skin under my chin, neck skin both tightened. After a year, my jawline became attractively sharper. There was no money nor pain. It took time & being mindful of my tongue posture.
