I just saw Raph, Ramman , Shredder, and Beast man at my local walmart today finally. I'm so happy to finally get raph and ramman because i thought those 2 were the best out of this wave, and so they would go with the donatello that I have from the first wave.

Wow, that Shredder looks amazing! I can't wait to get my hands on him. The story reminds me of the crossover DC did between MOTU and Thundercats, where the Ancient Spirits of Evil are tired of Mum-Ra failing them, so they reach out to Skeletor.

I wish all of these were available internationally in Asia particularly in Philippine Retail. Richwel, the Mattel distributor for the country doesn’t really know their customers. Anyways, the overall review is fantastic as always.

Man I haven't even seen wave 1 in full yet. Just Mouse Trap I mean Mouse jaw. Getting hit with Covud finally (today finally getting my taste back but my sniffer is not working. Haven't gone out looking lately cause of that. That aside, this is another fun wave. Beast man aside, expected but agree a newer face sculpt (open mouth maybe) and on the feet and think woukda saved him from not being the, well not really a bore but yeah.

I don't think they are referencing a specific version of the "turtle-verse": while it's true that the turtles look like their 2003 versions, Kraang, Leatherhead and Slash are definetly the ones from the '80s. I don't mind Shredder's cape being blue: having a blue cape and a purple harness can be a fun way to reference Skeletor's color scheme. Man-at-arms and Ram-man, thus far, look to be the best of the whole lot and they look fantastic! Wonder what future waves will bring, aside from Mikey, Skeletor, Teela, Splinter and Leatherhead... these are already enough to fill a whole wave, including the Metalhead-Roboto deluxe, but it would be neat to see this continue with Rocksteady, Bebop, April and Casey, just to name a few TMNT characters.

Shredder seems to be mixed with Hordak bits, the helmet is also reminiscent of Hordak's head.

Great review! I definitely like this wave, I’ll probably buy them all. I do wish shredder‘s helmet was removable and had at least part of his face shown so he had more options with swapping parts. Overall though it’s a pretty cool line of figures.

A little parts reusage makes the line more possible and allows them to add more to the armor and weapons or justify more figures faster, so I'm okay with that.

Tmnt figures with interchangeable heads and limbs is a great step in the right direction! Beastman’s head needed a mouth open snarl like the old one.

In Spanish checking this out: I went to Phantom Zone Comics the other day and was allowed to get 1 thing. I am happy that I got All-Star Superman, but I saw MOTU Origins AND Turtles Of Grayskull and now I regret that I didnt at least get that Shredder 😑

I ended up cutting off the handle on the inner part of the shells and drilling two holes in the back of the figures so I can pop the shells on their backs when they dont have their armor on. I also went and made some cloth goods for their elbow and knee pads and went even further and made some cloth goods to mimic the Coming out of their Shells tour gear. Seeing how sleek they were and how their shells come off, (coming out of their shells, get it, hehe) I had to go and make those pieces for all the turtles. I think this subline is amazing, so far Beastman is the only figure I dont have and ill probably get him but later down the road cause he is the least interesting to me as a crossover concept but I do love the armor and it would look cool on figures like Slamurai.

I love this line. Ram Man is the stand out for sure. Shredder is my second favorite followed by Ralph. I agree that Beastman was a cheap lazy cash grab. However, I'll still end up getting him to complete the line. Great review Dan!

I think there are two deluxe figures per wave. Walmart is holding their stuff of just being slow to get them out. I have a feeling it will be its own pallet pavilion with wave one and two figures and the deluxe Krang and Moss-Man which are their’s to distribute. More reviews are showing up on KZbin for Krang. Target gets Mouse-Trap and Slay-Lee like slaying something with his blades more so than Slaa-ker being unmotivated to do anything. This line has got me going back to get Origins vehicles. I was eyeing those. Your review of The metal horse Strider had me wanting that. So I’m going to buy a vehicle each for the Turtles. I already have the Strider and Winged sky chariot which I can’t think of the name of. Leo is riding that and Donnie has Strider. Raph will get the motor cycle thing Mecha-Nek comes with and the sky scooter Prince Adam rides will be Mikey’s. Shredder gets the Roton and Murated He-Man the Land Shark. I love that vehicle. This line is fun.

I don't wanna say for certain, but I just realized: Shredder rocking the Evil Horde ish getup with the Hordak feet and the Horde crossbow makes me wonder something... so we know Skeletor's plotting to benefit himself with Shredder's resources, but what if Shredder is secretly double crossing him by making a deal with Hordak?

I was also a bit hesitant on this line, but overall I love the concept. The waves just seem to keep getting better and better. I agree, Beast Man is the weakest of the bunch so far. The samurai look also just doesn’t fit well with the character. I also think Raphael is the best Turtle, lol! I like his look, and Shredder looks amazing! I wasn’t sure what to make of Ram Man at first, but the mutated looks of these characters are really growing on me now! The Man Child also reviewed the figures and was able to switch out parts from the mutated Ram Man onto the Origins Ram Man so that the ramming action feature could be used. It looks a bit out of proportion, but it’s a nice feature. ~Damon

This is more reflective of my own personal interest in vintage TMNT but I wish these leaned a little bit more in that kind of wacky/over the top direction. They seem to blend well with Origins but feel a little plain compared to other TMNT figures.

I didn't bother with Beastman as that was just a lazy sell. The armor was nice, but I look back at Man-At-Arms, who got a new paint deco, head sculpt and the ninja/samurai-style boots. Beast Man should have got new foot and head sculps, and maybe an orange-brown color change.

10:11 Well then I guess in this universe that smaller, unpainted shell is their ACTUAL shell and the one they hold in their hand is just a fake one made to look like a shell? The bodies on these ToG TMNT remind me more of the Super Mutants TMNT figures from back in the 90s, so it doesn't really bother me that much especially since the Turtles are BUFF now and have narrow waists unlike their normal builds.

beast man's samurai could work for origins slam-urai. my brother agreed with me after he thought about for a moment. though with the new samurai beast man figure comes a conundrum, should i display him with skeletor's army or should i display him with the foot clan a evil mutant orangutan? that's the real question.

I feel like they should had a rat king inspired beastman or something. They both control some kind of beast.. To me, that samurai outfit just doesn't fit beastman. Feels like they made him after the fact. Now I wasn't going to buy anything from this line because I got kids to feed and my wife told me to pick 1 line.. masterverse it was, as my classics is not as complete as I'd like it to be. That being said, I might have to pick up the ralph and ram man. Just so awesome looking
