The merm fruit is really cool, and I had an idea I don't think I've seen people try yet: what if you make your pirate empty their stomach after eating the fruit to try and remove the debuff? Nothing like tucking and downing uncooked seafood or a couple tankards to get back! Edit: also it's hilarious the explosive darts are just mini chest of rage

If you grapple ghosts, sometimes there a glitch where the gun doesn't stop shooting for about 10 seconds. Other than that excited for traps.

@@michaelreeves8739 I really wish that disguises weren't broken through someone interacting. Imagine if picking up someone in a chest disguise would allow the player to be picked up and carried, but the person carrying it would subtly hear the sounds of someone bumping around inside to give it away? Or, interacting with a barrel disguise would mean that somebody would take supplies out of the disguised player's inventory?? Would be goofy.

I server merged at every island. Was rammed by the same Skelly galleon like 10 times in two minutes. Was grabbed by a kraken that bugged and wouldn't let go. Rubber banded the entire session. Absolutely dog water by rare

I'm glad they took the negative reactions to the initial announcement for the grappling gun to heart. Being unable to harpoon onto ships along with locking the armory to enemies mean it's an option rather than a new must-use for combat.

@@ahmahti1334 if it wasnt this bad it would've been a must use, bc u board on a ship, kill one/quickly change to another weapon, this makes it much more "Travel" weapon rather than abnoxious PVP weapon

@@Kanjoo. you forgot that the armories are locked and it is hard to fend for yourself when you've boarded someone with just one weapon.

One of my biggest gripes as a commendation hunter is that items toed to commendations don't take you to said commendations when clicking on them (if you haven't unlocked them). It'd be so nice to see that, oh the Ashen Dragon sword needs a devil's roar commendation or something, let's see those requirements, click, done.

It's very niche but i really enjoy using the grapple when exploring shipwrecks. Being able to zip straight to your ship after dumping the loot in the water saves a good bit of swimming time and drowning damage.

The grapple gun is actually pretty well balanced with you not being able to just get on by hitting the mast

Grapple gun def the biggest thing in the update, feel like stealth will be more or less the same as it was before, less attentive crews getting stolen from and such. But grapple gun actually changes everything

Honestly it went from being my favorite addition in the announcement to one of my least favorite after tinkering with it last night. The crouch/disguises, though? Game changing for my style of play. Managed to swim to someone's boat from Galleons grave to the Shrine of hunkering, stayed on there for nearly an hour undetected while walking as a chest. Only ended up getting caught intentionally when I went up to the front of the hull to be harpooned 😂 Sneaking is pretty good too. You'd be amazing how the simple act of hiding your nameplate can make a pirate nearly blind. On that same ship last night, one of them ran right past me when I was crouched in their sloop's bed and towards to food storage, completely unaware I was 2 feet away the whole time. I'll say this though: the Harpoon gun would be phenomenal if it was allowed to travel just a liiiiittle farther. Not overwhelmingly so, but if I could travel even an extra 20 meters on land for traversal sake, it'd be part of my main loadout for big islands

The hiding in chest is kind of dumb imo. Especially like the chest do the damned. It’s not like you can hide on a fortress with that cause anyone who plays consistently knows those are locked behind a door. Chest of legend and chest of fortune is dead giveaway. No one is going to just leave those laying around

I feel like the ability to interact with disguise barrels will be a big giveaway for trying to stay stealthy. I mean newer players if they see the option to interact theyre gunna try it. Before if they couldnt see any interaction button they would just look the other way and care less.

You can grapple into sloops from behind by catching the floor of the mid deck, or the quest table or stairs
