I don't know the NFL rigs for the outcome of games, but I do believe the refs are told to try to keep the games close. There was a block in the back call picked up for the cowboys and I feel like it was just to keep their drive alive, so it wouldn't be a blowout.

If a referee makes a call that is based off of anything other what the rulebook says, that is rigging a game. It happens constantly, in every single game. I get what you’re saying, they don’t predetermine winners before hand. But they absolutely influence the course of the games and that leads to certain teams winning more often than they should and others losing more often than they should.

@alabamaal225
@alabamaal225 Жыл бұрын
That is nothing unique to the Dolphins. Every open-air stadium has the press box/luxury seats on the west side of the stadium, which is the side the home team usually sits. With a dome stadium some teams (e.g.: the Cowboys) have their sideline opposite the press box for better TV exposure.

The worst calls are the ones that fly under the radar. Selectively enforcing holding penalties are enough to swing games by 14 points which are missed/flat out ignored because the action is at the skill positions so roughing the passer and pi/catch no catch controversies are the attention grabbers. Holding is where the "rigging" takes place.

Considering the whole point of the hurry up offense is to stress the defense and take advantage of fatigue and injuries... I'd say that the 'taking injury rules' to get required rest and ready for the next play is only just. After all, the whole point of the hurry up / tempo offense is just as morally reprehensible as faking an injury.

The NBA ref that got caught for cheating mentioned on PMT podcast that NBA would go over points if emphasis with the refs before games. I 100% with all the judgement calls in the NFL, that they do the same with their refs. So many times in a big game a flag will be called for a soft hold or PI and other times nothing will be called. Also for the NBA ref that got jail time…he was just the fall guy…you mean to tell me he was the only referee in the league doing that and got caught?

There are more games for a Nantz/Romo called game in week 15 vs a matchup of bad teams. Simple budget and ratings by networks. That’s why primetime and marquee games seem to have more challenges.

So most people say that "oh if it was rigged, then Dallas, Pittsburgh, Denver would win every year cause they are the most popular." Let me enlighten thee. I live in Pittsburgh and let me tell you, I've seen them be trash as all, yet, they sell out every game and have nosebleeds run at 300$+. Fans will show up no matter what. You have to look at ticket sales in the pre 2010s to understand what's really going on+understand revenue sharing. Teams pool together their total earnings off tickets, jersey sales etc. And then divvy it out, every team getting the same percentage. So, if the Steelers for example make 1 billion dollars if they are good, 900 mil if they are bad. The Jaguars make 750 mil when they are good, 300 mil when they are bad, it is in the best interest of the league for the Jaguars to be good thus making EVERYONE more money. The NFL consistently makes more and more money every year. Another thing is look at the teams that have become great over the last few years. Patrick mahomes and Andy Reid in KC, philly winning super bowl with Nick foles, Brady going to the Bucs, Rams allowed to break the cap over and over RIGHT after they moved to LA where they are notorious for not showing up to games. It's easy as that. Idk if it's rigged, no one will unless proof comes out. But, I will say, there is More than enough of a monetary benefit for the NFL and owners to rig the league. Idt its a coincidence the Bengals, Jags, bucs, chiefs, bills are all good now. Rams got the head start to get fans butts in seats and THEN as soon as they need the chargers to be great guess what? The Rams fall off a cliff.

It's the same in the NBA it's not cheating if all teams face same rules. There is a reason why there are so many high scoring games that come down to the final possession. It is not a coincidence it's the result of sticky tacky interference calls, and roughing the passer calls when he scores deviate more than 10 points.

The kind of legal cheating in that sport is off the charts. On the visiting team likes to pass the ball around? Slow the field by not cutting the grass and/or overspray it with water in pregame warmups and/or shrink the field to the smallest allowable dimensions by the rules. Or if you're that pass-happy team you'd constantly cut the grass on your home field and/or expand the dimensions to the maximum allowable size so there's a lot of space to move the ball and move around in.

Then he should do a better job. Penelties are actually a stat now and tracked. He gets way less calls then most QB'S. This isn't a opinion that I am saying. Its a actual tracked stat.
