That's probably true, but speaking from experience, usually people who get into management positions are the kind of people who are vindictive, so I could totally see meteos pov. I've been a temp for hire for 5 years, I've been in a lot of different industries, a lot of different companies, and interacted with a lot of managers. I've see good employees that make the company more money than most of any of their peers get canned just because a manager has a personal grudge. Of course in these work environments, its a lot easier to get fired than most "office" jobs or more "skilled/educated" jobs, so take that as you will.

Meteos probably speaking from personal experience since he had been benched a few times before. In Dardoch’s case though, I have to side with Doublelift. Dude had been kicked out SEVEN times. Orgs were already to prepare to deal with troubles once they signed DD, yet they still have to kick him out. That says a lot. Dude has serious problems.

@@maxxvii2037 they're top 5 still, because the record from last split still outweighs the one from the current split (the record from spring carries over to summer)+ they had a few wins at the start of summer with the old roster (in week 1 they had 2 wins vs EG and FQ and 1 loss to 100T), week 2 they benched soligo for yusui, and so far they've lost 6 games out of 8 (aside for the losses to the expected teams (100t, TL, C9, TSM), they lost to GGs and CLG), and today they'll be rematching EG (who they beat in week 1 with dardoch and soligo). That 25% winrate (2 wins out of 8 games with yusui) doesn't look "not changed" to me, the way it's going, they'll probably drop below EG, and there's a chance they drop below IMT as well, so they could very well end the season at 7th

Regarding the Dardoch’s situation, imagine having a low tier team performing, a team that in paper shouldn’t be in the top 5, and then you choose to fuck the mid-jg synergy by benching de midlaner, of course your jungler is going to get frustrated, of course he made mistakes in many games but he was by far the best player in his team, so now you have a player known to be toxic, and you can just throw him away claiming that he was toxic, and we won’t be able to know if it’s true, or if it’s as bad as they want us to see. Eitherway, we won’t know, but I don’t like DL’s take.

Maybe those teams just have their heads stuck up their asses and can't figure out how to properly manage their players, there's a benefit of doubt to those situations. But every year, one after the other, being traded to team after team - after a while, "orgs just using toxicity as an excuse to throw him away" seems a less and less likely option. Ultimately, it could come out in the end that it was some massive conspiracy to ruin his career; but the infinitely more likely and realistic option is that, while DD may be a good player and the team fucked up, he's still a piece of work and not a good teammate to run with, and parting ways with him is the best option for the team's mental (and, inevitably, the org's face).
